I got it for $1.49. Had them match online price $12.99 from target.com. Gave manufactures coupon first, then cartwheel. The computer does it thing regardless what order you give the coupon.

I ran to my local Target and the price for the Hungry Hungry Hippos is $19.99 IN STORE, the price shown is the online price…I still purchased it b/c it ended up being only $4.99, but was a little disappointed when I saw the price…unless there is a way to pay online and pick up in store but still get coupons deducted the price for me was $4.99 not $1.49. totally target had the price at $19.99 the actual in store price
Geoff says
Would they have matched the online price, $12.99?
Justin says
i was going to ask the cashier, but I didnt, I have done that in the past (at Wal Mart) and they said “that is the online price, there is nothing we can do” so O just felt it wasnt worth the battle…i am thankful for getting it at the $4.99 price.

Yes. Go to customer service and show them on your

My store did not have the game on sale. So it came up at $19.99, but the price matched ut for me and then i got the deal. All Targets in the Harrisburg area scan the cartwheel last but it still adjusts the discount after the target coupons and before manufacturer coupons.
Lauren says
This is assuming they take cartwheel first…. And they do NOT take cartwheel first – the system even asks before accepting cartwheel if you have given all paper coupons….
I have been noticing so many mistakes in your deals lately, please get with it FTM
Shannon says
Lauren,
First pertaining to this deal:
The Cartwheel discount is taken after Target Coupons and before manufacturer coupons. Shouldn’t matter HOW You scan them. The Target offer would only be adjusted IF YOU USED A TARGET COUPON.
Second, if you see an error, please feel free to point it out and I would be happy to address it.
Lauren says
That is absolutely *not* how it is handled in any of my local Targets. When you give them cartwheel you KNOW it says plainly on the screen something to the affect of “Have you scanned all other coupons for this transaction” they must press yes to that to accept your cartwheel. No local store of mine (about 5) will allow you to do cartwheel and then do mfr coupons. They just wont.
Lauren says
If other people have other experiences that is awesome. Maybe I am just by stores with tighter restrictions. Who knows. In couponing there is always a YMMV.
Jenna says
Even though the cartwheel is scanned last, because the coupon is a manufactures coupon it will automatically be taken off the final “Target” price. I.E the 50% discount.
For instance lets start saying the $5.00 was a Target store coupon.
$12.99- $5.00= $7.99, if the coupon was a Target coupon the Target price would be $7.99, then the 50% cartwheel which would be $4.49
However, because the $5 coupon is a manufactures coupon it comes off like this
$12.99 then the cartwheel is a Target Discount, so $6.49 is the “Target” price. Then the computer automatically will take off the $5 because its a manu. coupon. Therefore final price is $1.49.
I purchased a my little pony doll last week, I had a special $3 Target Coupon for the doll and the Cartwheel as well as a $2 off any Hasbro Toy coupon.
It came off like this-
$19.99 start price- $3 Target coupon, $16.99- 50% off cartwheel offer, $8.49, then the Manu. came off making it $6.49. Even though the Cartwheel was scanned last each and every time. This is the computers not a Manger. Manu. always will come off last.
Shannon says
I understand what you are saying but –
The Cartwheel discount comes off after Target coupons and before manufacturer’s coupons, regardless of the order you present your coupons in.
Coleen says
Thank you, Shannon for all that you do! It can be a thankless job and I want you to know that you are appreciated!
chocoholic says
I just ran to target to do this and it worked just fine. I even handed cartwheel over first.

Lauren,
I shop at Target a lot and have never had the issue of how I presented my coupons to the cashier. All Targets are the same when it comes to how coupons and cartwheel are discounted from your purchase. Perhaps if you have issues at your stores printing out the coupon policy and taking it with you would be good that way if they do hassle you, you can ask for a manager and pull out the policy to show them. The managers and employees do not get to make their own rules when it comes to coupons. Best of luck.

plus 5% redcard too which would make it even less :)
