I think they do whatever they feel Ike at the time,,,,recently, I had a q for body wash and I was using it on baby body wash (clearly said BODY wash on it) and they said no deal cause it beeped and they said if it beeps its not right. Very next thing,,,,a q for any ge light bulb pack,,,it beeped and they pushed it thro. I said,,,wait a minute, what’s the difference,,,they didn’t even acknowledge me. I said many times qs have beeped and it’s been the exact item pictured,,,still no response,,m

our target refused to let us use the target web coupon for the scotch tape for 49 cents today. the manager said the price had to be the same or over the actual price of the coupon to start and refused to adjust down, then tried to say the item didn’t match the picture. (mine was in black and white, she said if i had printed it out it would have been purple). i tried calling corporate as the coupon just says scotch magic item, nothing specific and i can’t get anyone there to understand the problem, he said they didn’t adjust down and i tried to read the coupon policy right off the screen to him, i finally gave up.

  Just did it (used the printed target coupon for 50 cents off scotch tape) at the target here about an hour ago and the girl at the checkout didn’t even blink at it. I even got the 1 cent as overage to go to another product. I didn’t have much on me tho and I went through the express checkout. Most of them would rather keep the illusion of fast checkouts than have to call over a manager. So as long as the coupon looks like it matches they just push it through.

  Mine wouldn’t take it either! First the cashier had no clue and told me I couldn’t use a coupon because the item was on sale. Then, when the cashier called someone to help I was told they couldn’t adjust down. I know they are wrong but I didn’t bother.
