I’m sorry but you have been very patient with me and I have one more question. I tried this at my store I bought
4 Cinnamon toast crunch @ 4.29
2 suddenly salads @ $1
6 Yoplaits @ 50 cents each
Total $22.16
I used
4 $.55 cereal
2 $.40 salad
1 $.40/6 yogurt
The coupons doubled but the cashier manually went in and un doubled them all :( I had to pay OOP $18.76 but I got the catalina. Any ideas on what I did wrong?

@Sandra,
Sandra,
Did you buy the right sized cereal? They should have been $1.99 each. not $4.99.
Sandra says
Ok, thank you. Also why might the coupons not double?
Shannon says
@Sandra,
They have DND , and the cashier may decide to not double them :)
Sandra says
I’m a little confused, the $20 catalina is based on pre sale and pre coupon prices? Seems to good to be true but I thought I would double check before I drag my 1 month old out :) Thanks for all your tips, I love your site
Shannon says
@Sandra,
Yes it is based on Shelf Prices. You have to be careful because you need to make sure that the prices are Knock Down prices.

I think your math is a little off for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch scenario: 1.99 x 4= 7.96 + 3.00 (Suddenly Salad) = 10.96 BEFORE coupons. Total OOP= 7.56, and get back a $5 coupon. I think you just forgot to add in one of the boxes of cereal when calculating. Still a great deal!
I got 24 boxes of cereal (Kellogg’s), 3 Suddenly Salad, and 3 boxes of poptarts for $26! We’ll donate the cereal to the food pantry, since it’s way more than our family can eat!

In Acme’s flyer from this past week, there was a coupon for buy one get two free arm and hammer detergents. They are the larger handled jugs priced around 9.99. It was considered a manufacturer’s coupon so no stacking, but still an awesome deal!
