Just a quick heads up, if you shopped Rite Aid yesterday, you may find that your UPR expirations are dated 5/5/12. I am not getting a straight forward answer from Customer Service – other than if they don’t work, call back. They are saying it was a glitch and not a change.
You may want to check yours and see what you find. Did your +UP Rewards print with the wrong date?

We apologize for the +UP expiration date issue some of you have experienced. Due to a system problem, +UPs that printed on Sunday and Monday in our Weekly Ad (4/29-5/5) had an incorrect expiration date. These +UPs are valid through 5/19 and will scan correctly at the register.

Thank you so much for responding directly, Rite Aid!!

Melinda,
I do like that they listened and responded!

Oh my goodness!! I would have never noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out! Thank you!

Well now I just chatted with “Rickie V” and he said it was in fact an error and they do not expire until the 19th-I guess I will take my chances and hope when I go next week they will work
Laura says
Well I just got off the phone with Harrison in customer service at Rite Aid and he said that they do expire on Saturday-not a policy change but just some promotions are printing UPS that expire 5/5. He was not very helpful and didn’t seem to care about my business.

I just spoke with “Rio” at Rite Aid CS.
He said that the UP Rewards are good for 2 weeks and the cashiers should know that.
He also suggested if anyone gave you problems to have them call RA. He also suggested to save your receipt to show date of purchase.
It does seem that RA will take care of this.
Thanks for alerting us to this problem.

All of mine did too. Ugh! I hope Rite Aid does something about this. So people who shopped today won’t have this problem??
RuE says
I rolled mine today. I’m not taking any chances. :)
I repeated the Colgate kids power toothbrush and St. Joseph’s aspirin with my UPRs. The expiration dates on the ones that I received today is 5/20.
You can bet I will be checking the expiration dates from now on!
Ruth says
That’s the safest bet. Some cashiers probably would not accept the UPR if they were “expired” and calling customer care takes time and you may get a person that has no idea what is going on.

LOL, I noticed the date but since I’m new to shopping at Rite Aide I didn’t think much of it. Oh well, I’m going back tomorrow so will be sure to use it then! Thanks for the tips.

and I agree with John. This is one of the very reasons I have not shopped at RA very much lately (and the sales suck-for lack of better words)! Much better at CVS anymore.
Kyle says
I am glad you posted this! I didn’t even notice, but I did make a few purchases yesterday and every Up Reward printed with the dates of 04/27-05/05. I contacted Customer Service but the Representative I spoke to was not very helpful. She instructed me to call back this afternoon about how they will be handling this. She just told me the rewards are good for 14 days and they most likely will be contacting each store. So I guess I will not have an answer and I contact them. Unreal!

Thanks for the info Shannon, I would have lost that one for sure.

Mine did too….unfortunately I went back last night and used them thinking I pretty much needed too :( That stinks

This is one of many reasons I haven’t shopped at Riteaid since November. To be honest, I’m surprised they’re still in business with their lousy sales and they ever changing rules and policies. Nothing ever works the way it should at Riteaid!
Shannon says
Hi John, how are you! Yes, I would agree and I am shopping less and less there. Their numbers are terrible and I am not sure how they keep floating along with big losses.
Tara says
Mine had that date too – should I call CS myself? Or are the stores going to be made aware of it? I’d hate to lose that money.
adam says
I have over $42 that printed yesterday with May 5th expiration and they told me the same thing that they will honor them for two weeks. They need to make the stores aware of this. I feel that my store will reject them.
Julieanne says
Mine did as well. I called customer service and they said they were going to honor them for 2 weeks from the time you received them and that if I had any problems to call them and they would mail me out some new ones.
