Bought 2 Kingsford and no CAT.
I did the deal at Weis
Didn’t realize until now that there was an issue with the catalinas. I bought 6 barbecue sauces and no cat. It was still a good price with the qps I had and I was a bit trepiditious when I did it, so I wasn’t real surprised. I also did the Purex, buy $15.00, get $3.00 off instantly, and that worked great . I got 2 liquid detergents and 2 ultra packs for $10.00, $3.00 off instantly and had $3.00 in coupons so got 4 for $4.00, which for me is a good stock up price. I plan to do it again later this week.
I don’t know about gas points but I definitely bought more than $9.00 worth of participating products using sale prices and it still didn’t trigger the catalina. I bought 2 Kingsford charcoals at $5.99 each on sale plus 2 bottles Hidden Valley dressing. That should’ve been more than enough if I understand correctly, but no catalina printed.
Shannon- Our Weis (Gap, PA) was also having trouble lately with this and gas points. They told me to tell the cashier NOT to scan the courtesy card UNTIL AFTER all items are scanned through. By scanning the courtesy card first the register is taking the discounted price, not the shelf price. Therefore…the catalinas and gas points are not working correctly. We all appreciate Weis counting shelf price for these sales. The last couple weeks have gone smoothly for me when I instruct the cashier to do this. When doing multiple transactions, make sure the cashier doesn’t automatically swipe your card at the beginning of the additional transactions. Hope this helps unlock some mystery to the problem with the catalinas? Let me know if others have tried this way I’m describing and still having difficulties.
Karen, thanks for that! Makes sense and good to know. (I’m from Lancaster btw. My hubby works in Gap.)
I bought 2 Kingsford charcoal and 2 Hidden Valley Farmhouse Originals today but did not get the catalina either :(
That Kraft Cracker Barrel cheese one at Giant last week didn’t work for me either.
Weis is having is issues with ALL of their cats.
Well it’s a good thing I have GREAT people at my Weis. I couldn’t find the Kingsford Original bags so I asked at customer service. A white shirted manager found them somewhere for me and carried them to a register. Then he waited patiently while I checked out (with my pile of coupons!) and then he walked them to my car for me! Talk about good service :)
I just did this deal and it did not work . I Bought 1 glad trash bag and 1 bottle of bbq sause
Me too – 2 Glad trash bags, 1 Kingsford Charcoal, and 2 Hidden Valley Dressings (BTW the Famrhouse ones are on discontinued sale at Weis”) Stuff I needed and good price with coupons, but would really like my catalinas!
what store did you do it at? Weis or Giant? Weis is having issues with catalinas .
i bought trashbags and bbq sauce at Giant and no Cat printed. is there a place where i can find the info on the cat to take to giant?
No, you would call catalina marketing not Giant. There is nothing in print for these catalinas unfortunately, outside of the catalina notices. So when you call catalina marketing, just tell them you received a catalina notice for $2.50 oyno when you purchase select items and that it didnt print at Giatn. They will mail it to you.
Thanks for the Info. Do u have their context info?
