I have always been a fan of Veggie Tales. The values of being taught in the newest DVD “It’s a Meaningful Life” is perfect for children and adults of all ages. We could all learn a lesson from Larry the Cucumber in being content. Adults will enjoy the Jimmy Stewart parody and the kids will love the songs and silliness.
Jimmy Stewart (Larry) dreams of playing in the biggest football game ever the Salad Bowl are gone forever when he is injured and is no longer able to play. Years goes by and he loves his family and friends but wonders what it would be like “IF”. He is led back in time by a train conductor to see what life would have been like.
Veggie Tales is colorful and keeps children’s interest. My son all loved those colorful vegetables and silly songs and I guess I did too, it was not unusual for me to break out in a silly song in my head. You know “We are the pirates who don’t do anything..” Years later, my son still remembers the storylines.
Another thing I like about Veggie Tales, is you NEVER ever have to worry about content — you know the ones meant for parents and not kids.
