Not all the Freebie sites out there are really going to send you a free item. In fact, some of them are downright trying to “steal” your information for their benefit. Whether its to sell it or to spam you, they have no intention of sending you anything but a hassle! These sites are called Phishing Sites – they go “fishing” for your information.
As an educated consumer, you have to make a judgment on whether the site looks legit. I will admit it is very easy to be fooled, some of these people are good. So you just have to be very careful with what information you are willing to give out. I wouldn’t say lie, but if a site looks no good, just skip it, its not worth it.
