We have had several readers who have lost their stockpile in floods recently. This is not only devastating, but also emotionally taxing. While it is hard to keep an exact value of your stockpile, here are a few tips and a worksheet you can use.
Print: FREE Home Inventory Worksheet
1. Print this Home Inventory Worksheet and complete it. (or fill it out online)
2. Scan the worksheet to your email account and to a friends/family email for safe keeping.
3. Add it to a site like Dropbox or Evernote. (Just don’t put financial information out there, i.e. bank accounts, credit cards)
3. Take a video of each room in your home, store at bank deposit box or give to a friend/family.
4. Keep updated pictures of your stockpile.
5. Keep receipts for major purchases on a site like Dropbox or Evernote – or simply scan to a friend.
