Easy Pan Seared Grouper with Lime Butter Sauce
Grouper is a meaty slightly sweet white fish. This Easy Pan Seared Grouper with Lime Butter Sauce lets Grouper’s flavor shine. If like me you hate having to pick out tiny fish bones, then this recipe would be perfect for you.
The Lime Butter sauce is rich and goes well with this dish. This is my go-to recipe when I need an elegant restaurant-style meal in 20 minutes.
The thing I love about Grouper is that it has a mild flavor, which means any side dish will complement this fish.
Ingredients:
- 2 T. extra virgin olive oil
- 4 6-oz. grouper filets
- Sea salt and black pepper, to taste
- 6 T. unsalted butter, cut into chunks
- 2 T. fresh lime juice, preferably organic
- 2 T. fresh parsley leaves, finely chopped
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Generously sprinkle the grouper fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides and cook until opaque and flakey, approximately 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from heat and cover to keep warm.
2. Add the butter to a small skillet set over medium heat, whisking continually until the butter melts and darkens in color, approximately 3 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and whisk in the fresh lime juice. Stir in the fresh parsley leaves and season with salt and black pepper, to taste.
4. Serve the grouper fillets immediately with a drizzle of the lime butter sauce on top. Pair with Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes and Oven-Roasted Asparagus, as pictured, or your choice of sides. Enjoy!
