CVS Shopping Made Easy – How To Roll Your ECBs!
Many CVS Couponers, new and experienced, or any couponers always want to get the most bang for their buck, and use as little cash OOP (out of pocket) as possible, right? One of the great advantages of shopping at CVS is that you can earn ECB’S (Extra Care Bucks) on a purchase, and immediately spend them on the next purchase, or transaction! So to help you maximize your deals and keep your OOP cost to a minimum, here’s a great how-to on “Rolling ECB’s”
What is “Rolling ECBs” ?
When you purchase items that you earn ECBs on, you can then use those ECBs to pay for the next transaction of items that produce ECBs, or just using ECBs earned on one transaction, and using them to purchase items in your next transaction.
How do I roll ECBs?
The easiest way is to break your items up in multiple transactions. Here are some of the best practices for Rolling Extra Bucks!
- Being prepared is key! A little homework and planning goes a long way! While making your shopping list, look at which items are producing ECB’s and break your transactions up in a list prior to shopping.
- While shopping, I arrange my items in the cart and separate them according to my transactions, and have my coupons paired with my items prior to checkout.
- Most important, let your cashier know first that you are doing multiple transactions. They are no stranger to this and it will make for a much smoother process.
Best way to checkout At Checkout:
- A best practice of mine; if there is a long line, I will do one transaction, let the next customer go, do my 2nd transaction, and so on. This also gives me a moment in between to regroup and make sure I’m ready for my next transaction, as well as reviewing my receipt from my previous transaction.
- Do one transaction at a time. Use ECB’s earned from your previous transaction to pay for your next transactions, and so on.
- Paying attention is key! If you are using CVS coupons and Manufacturers coupons, this is especially important to make sure all of your coupons were applied.
