8 Hacks To Help You Apply Nail Polish Like a Pro
People always notice your hands. Do your nails look better after a professional manicure than when you paint them at home? I have a calcium deficiency which leaves specks of white on my nails, which is why I always try to ensure my nails are painted before I step out. Here are some easy tips to help you apply the nail polish like a Pro:

If painting in the lines is hard for you, then rub petroleum jelly (like Vaseline) on your cuticles and the skin around your nails to create a barrier.
Best way to apply the top coat – Paint the first layer on the top half of your nails and after it has dried paint, paint the entire nail with the base coat.

Apply a layer of white nail polish first to get the paint’s true color.
To remove stubborn nail polish -Soak cotton pads in nail polish remover, and use foil to wrap and secure the soaked cotton around your nails. Leave them for five minutes and remove the foil and cotton at the same time.

Roll your nail polish bottle back and forth by holding the bottle between your palms.
Spread a small amount of Vaseline on the mouth of the nail polish bottle to make it easier to open next time.
Wait for at least 2 minutes before applying another coat of color or the top coat. The longer you wait between coats, the more it’ll keep your color locked in.
Turn your nail polishes to matt, by mixing a small amount of cornflour into it. Use a toothpick to stir it.
Here are the different nail styles you can choose from:

If you need to constantly wear nail polish then do check out breathable nail polish. As the name says, breathable nail polish gives your fingernails and toenails the opportunity to, well, breathe. This type of nail polish is formulated so that the molecules are suspended, which allows water and oxygen to pass through the polish and onto your nails.
If you need to go without nail polish for a few weeks. Here is an easy nail-whitening soak – Take equal quantities of apple cider vinegar and water and soak your nails in the mixture for up to 20 minutes.
Make sure you let your nails “breathe” from time to time. With a little practice, you can get salon-worthy nails at home.
