Did anyone have a problem with the barilla pasta instant savings? I purchased 10 boxes and the instant savings didn’t come off.
I looked at the circular, and to me it looks like “Buy $5 worth of participating (Barilla products) and get $1.50 off (Giant Grated 100% Parmesan Cheese) Instantly.
I purchased 2 of the Lipton Recipe Secrets for 1.29 each, used two $1 off printable coupon and got back a 75 cents of your next order catalina!
I have a question on the instant deals. To get the $10 off $25 instantly, does it have to be $25 after coupons like the gas deal coupons or can I get to $25 get the 10 off instantly and then use my coupons?? Thanks!!

Well I always do it before coupons, but some people have trouble with it. Are you shopping at Giant PA or Giant MD ?
I am actually in Stafford, VA. Our Giant sales ad is almost identical to yours and I have yet to find a local site that is as good as yours!
I was able to do the deal, I just had to go to customer service to get the $10 since it didn’t come off. Since it didn’t state in the ad that the $25 had to be after coupons, they honored it =)
I just did this deal at the Williamsburg, VA store but I could tell by my total that the $10 didn’t take off. The cashier told me to go to customer service. Explained to the people there, and I must’ve been standing there for 15-20 minutes while they VERY slowly looked over my purchases (ignoring me when I offered to circle them and they could double check it), went to the aisles to check tags, and accused me of having something wrong until I corrected them. I pretty much managed to keep my cool but I’m sure I looked annoyed. I was finally given $10 cash without so much as an apology. My total for the items was less than $25 after coupons, but these promotions have always worked fine in the past without factoring coupons. Could they have changed it? They’re changing a lot there lately…
on the Dole, it’s also the frozen fruit cups, which i had a $1/1 catalina for and a $1/2 that i think came out of the food bank coupon book. hopefully, some of y’all have those same coupons hanging out in your frozen folder.
Here is a deal that i don’t think is advertised. They have all the pringles on sale for 3/$4. This includes the snack packs. If you use 3 $1 off Snack pack coupons that makes all 3 of them $1. I’m not sure if this is at all stores but Just an FYI.
Ok – WATCH register carefully. I did the spend 25 and get 10 off instantly for general mills. The 10 deducted, the cashier gave me my total and then the register kicked the 10 back on because the amount of my coupons dropped the price below 25. My cashier was super nice and called the manager and the manager entered it as a -10.00 catalina type coupon and overrode it…but BEWARE!

Healthy Choice soups are part of the gas deal, buy 8 at $1 each, get $6 in gas…..only $2 for 8 cans, wish there were some coupons around for these!
My circular says earn 2x the gas points instead of the buy 6 earn 200 points, how do I average that out?!
I know this may not be practical, but if your store isn’t doing gas deals, try to find a local one that still is… if we don’t shop at the stores where they are trying to phase out gas deals, maybe they will stop trying to get rid of them!
