Snowflakes Falling…

February 10, 2010

I don’t know if you remember the beautiful trees I showed you in the fall at my house.  If not, you can see them here.

I thought I would show you the big contrast a few months makes!

This is the view out of my office window, screen and all. Too cold to open it.

The offer for free snow still stands.

Annoying, but incredibly beautiful.

Point of reference for how much snow we got today – that fence is about 7 feet tall!

We live in Schuylkill Haven and had between 24 and 27 inches last night. I’m wondering when all the snow is going to stop and it is a shame you can’t get a snow shovel as a freebie. LOL

We live in middle Tennessee and don’t normally get a lot of snow. We do, however, tend to get plenty of ice. This season, we have gotten about 6 inches between two different storms (approx. 2 weeks apart). Personally, we are tropical lovers but I would absolutely love to have some more snow. A few feet would be okay. I say that because we are already planning our summer vacation to Florida so I have warm tropical weather to look forward to. Plus the kids really love playing in the snow. It would be nice for them to be able to dig out a snow fort.

I live in South Carolina and the most snow I’ve seen here is about 4ft and that was twenty years ago. Two weeks ago the weatherman forecast snow for our area. We woke up to maybe a 1/2 inch. School was cancelled and most businesses closed due to our little snow. All of my friends from the North laugh at us because everything shuts down when we get a little snow. I try to explain to them that they better be glad that everything shuts down because we don’t see enough of the white stuff to know how to drive in it. My kids want it ti snow so bad. They want to build a snowman. Beautiful pictures.

I would love to get snow like that at least once. We don’t get that much in the Kansas City MO area!

I feel your pain, hon. We’ve got 4 feet on the ground, with no end until midnight tonight. We normally get 11 inches in a season. So far we’ve had 77. UGH!
