Teacher Appreciation week starts tomorrow.  I was looking for something cute to do for Evan’s teachers.  I came across this great idea from TCL.

If you want to do something cute for your teachers – and not to expensive, here is a fantastic idea from That’s Country Living.

You can purchase a $5 or $10 Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts or other coffee shop gift card. I love this idea for everyone not just teachers!

I am not a huge fan on Moon Sand, but Evan happens to love it.    If you are looking for a fun craft — plus a way to save a little money – check out this homemade Moon Sand. {note – the consistency may be different, but just as fun!} Be sure to add your water slowly to get the desired consistency! Too much water will equal runny goo!

Check out how to make Homemade Moon Sand here and here

Homemade Play Mat

I love this idea. It is so hot here that heading outside is the last thing the kids want to do.  This idea involves a shower liner (pick one up at the dollar store) and supplies you probably already have.  You can make a play mat of your town or a make believe town.  Use cars, animals or figurines you already have.

Check out there great ideas here and here for making your mat.

Puffy Paint Craft

I absolutely adore this idea from One Crafty Mumma. This is a great idea for an impromptu craft hour. If you bake bread, you already may have these ingredients sitting around.

This fun craft only needs three simple ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon self-raising flour
  • a few little drops of food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • Check out how to make this Puffy Paint Craft.
