Hey all just wanted to post this asap because I know many of you are heading to Weis for the dairy instant savings deal. Well I went and bought 16 YoCrunch yogurts my family loves them, it DID NOT take off the $3 instant and I was told by the store manager at store #173 (717) 246-0671, that with 100% certainty that it goes off the sales price and not the shelf price.

    • Rodina says:

      Melissa,
I went to the Weis in Hagerstown, MD this morning and none of my deals worked for the yogurt (16), Gold peak Tea (5) Cabot CHeese (4) .. I was so dissapointed! and the What a bummer! I ended up combining the the products to make the $12… It wasn’t but two weeks ago I was there and did similiar deal with shelf prices and it worked. They must have just changed this in their system. It was still a decent deal. It was 6 Gold Peak for $9 instead of 5 for $7 which is what i orginally worked out. My dad loooves the Diet Gold Peak tea and drinks 2-3 bottles a week so I was so excited to see them w a deal. It is still cheaper than 2 for $4. Curious to see if this was a corporate wide change….

      • Jamee says:

dunno what happened either, i did the buy 4 smart balance milk, even threw in a yogurt to boot. the $3 didn’t come off, tried to debate it with the manager but he said that it was because i used coupons. ugh, sometimes the deals at my store just don’t work out too well, other times they are great! so i figure in the end, paying an extra $3 for items that I needed anyways won’t kill me.

        • Shannon says:

          Jamee,

If you bought a yogurt, wouldn’t you been over $12 in sales price too? I think there is something wonky with the promo personally.

          • jamee says:

Yep, I bought the yogurt to make sure that I was over the $12 mark…we get the wonky every once in a while :o) .

      • Melissa S says:

Rodina I am wondering the same thing, I am assuming its a recent change in policy which is such a bummer. I would always stock up on pasta sauce and peanut butter when it was included in the instant savings. It is just getting harder and harder to save.

      • Shannon says:

Ok, so this didn’t work today even with $12 no coupons. Something might be up with the promo and not a change.

    • Shannon says:

      Melissa,

it didnt work with sales price either. Two weeks ago it worked fine with shelf price – so unless they made some major changes since the 9th of June, I think they may have a problem with this promo all together.

    • Kathy says:

I’ve found that the store people really don’t know the coupon policy. sounds like a problem with the promo if the yogurts aren’t working. I’ve had promos not work with certain items. It worked for me with cheese and ice cream.

  3. Rodina says:

Does anyone know the shelf price for the blocked cheese onsale? I would like to work out a deal for that. Would be perfect for cheese tray for July 4th parties!

  4. Lisa says:

im looking at doing the the gold peak tea..if u printed the .50/1 and have more then one computer u can buy 5 of them for 10.00 self price (13.95) use 4 -.50/1 coupons that double to a dollar and take the instant 3.00 off. comes out to be .60 each or 3.00 for all 5. now thats a great deal.

  5. Jamee says:

what i am looking at is buying 2 friendly’s ice cream (shelf price 5.99) and 1 yo crunch, after instant savings only 2.60 and holy crow does my family like friendly’s!!

    • Rodina says:

Jamee – love that deal! Friendly’s icecream is declicious! Thanks for sharing :)

  6. Laura says:

The photo looks like some type of cheese is also included but I don’t see that on your list.

  7. megan says:

You could do 16 Yo-Crunch Yogurts to get to your $12 shelf price ($9.60 sale price) then use four of the $1/4 Yo-Crunch Yogurt coupons to get down to $5.60 then take off the instant savings = $2.60 for 16 yogurts. Works out to be $0.16 per yogurt after coupons and instant savings.

  8. Sue says:

This looks like a good one for me. Several included items are on my grocery list. Yay!

  9. Heather says:

Aw, man, I miss Weis. The milk out in CO is crazy cheap, though. $2 a gallon on sale. And they have this place called Sunflower markets…which has the best prices on produce I’ve ever seen!

    • Jamee says:

i bet i miss Colorado more than you miss Weis!! LOL…$2 a gallon is a dream back east!
