The Cat deal is buy $35 get back $10. My Weis has a small poster that sticks off the isle(they have a few in the health and beauty section and one in the cleaning section, it’s got an ice skater on top and the names of the P&G brands on it) with a rebate form at the bottom. It’s a rebate for $10 Visa Giftcard when you buy $25. I wish I had a camera phone so I could take a picture for you.
There’s no reason why you can’t combine these two deals(if you can get the form since it’s went up before the Olympics started, so check all of them if you need to) so it’s buy $35 worth get back $10 ONYO and a $10 Visa Giftcard.
What I did is buy 8 Infinity and Tampax(shelf price $35.92, sale price $31.92). Than I used 8 $2/1 coupons from Sunday’s P&G insert, so it cost me $15.92. If you don’t have a shelf price store or don’t know it would be buy 9(sale price $35.91, use 9 coupons) pay $17.91.
Kristin M says
Bonnie, the infinity and tampax deal.
Isn’t it get back $10 wyb $35 worth? Unless I’m missing something. I’d love to try this deal but would love to hear if you had a personal experience with it. Thanks :)
Kristin M says
Hey Stacie, I shopped at the one on 512 and they still had blinkies left :)
Kristin M says
Oh, also I bought Fruit Loops, Corn Pops & Apple Jacks. Maybe one of them isnt part of the $4.00 cat?
Also, can you roll Weis Cat’s? I hardly EVER shop there so I have no idea!
I’m off to Giant to see if they got any of the Ravioli’s back in stock. I got some of the ice creams, but no raviolis.
Kristin M says
Just did the kellogs deal at weiss- I purchased 6 boxes but only the $7.00 cat. printed. I’m happy with that, don’t get me wrong, but who wouldnt love another $4. one to print? I don’t get it!
Shannon says
Kristin,
Just got an email 2 mins ago.. said that the $4.00 cat may have ended.
Bonnie in PA says
Stacie I’d guess those stores are based on shelf price, since the Lehigh Valley stores all seem to do the same thing. I remember when my Snecksville store had it’s grand opening, the whole valley had grand opening specials(this was 2 years ago).
I’ve shopped at both of those stores but not when I knew about cat deals going off of shelf price.
Stacie says
So far today I have tried the two Weises in my area. I did not get the cereal coupons in my Red Plum, and the blinkie machines at both stores were empty. I asked a lady in Customer Service if the catalinas were based on shelf price or sale price, and she did not know. So, if anyone who shops the Weis in Whitehall (on MacArthur Rd.) or the one on Cedar Crest knows the answer, please post it. For now I am forgetting about these catalinas, and stocking up on ravioli from Giant. ($1.00 for six bags, @ 5lbs).
Carolyn says
Got back from the Shillington Weis. They do shelf price for the catalinas.!
I got 7 boxes of Kashi oatmeal, 2 boxes of pops, 1 box of fruit loops, 3 boxes of apple jacks, 4 tampax pearl and 4 always infinity.. for…. $1.32 after coupons and catalinas. Phew! :) Thanks for this blog. I now love Weis!!
Shannon says
Carolyn,
Yeah Weis rocks! :)
Amy says
Just got back from Weis, and I’m a happy girl! I bought 5 boxes of Apple Jacks and 3 boxes of Corn Pops (surprised they were the HUGE boxes) at $2.50 each for a total of $20. I also found the blinkie that Bonnie mentioned, that got me $.70 off each box.
8 boxes x $2.50 = $20
8 x $.70 = -$5.60
Total OOP= $14.40
Got both Catalinas $7 + $4= $11
Total cost for 8 *Huge* boxes of cereal…$3.40 Woohoo!
Thanks for the tips, girls =0)
Bonnie in PA says
FYI Rice Krispies aren’t part of the $4 Cat just the $7 Cat. Sorry if I lead anyone astray.
Bonnie in PA says
That’s so weird. It works for me in Schnecksville, PA(Lehigh Valley).
I know we get different prices and slightly different ads but totally different policies don’t make sense.
Carolyn says
Could we list stores that are working with shelf prices? i will try this afternoon and report for mine. This might be helpful if everyone does it.. if it is allowed?
Shannon says
Carolyn,
Sure ,,, Mine sadly did not work yesterday. I did follow Bonnie’s advice and got the lower catalina. I shopped in WYomissing.
Bonnie in PA says
Shannon when I do the shelf price deals my goal is to get the larger cat with the shelf prices and the smaller cat with the sale price. That way I’ll at least get something if I have a problem and need to go to customer service.
With the Kellogg’s deal my Shelf price is $21 so I get the $7cat if all goes well. But the sale price is only $15(6 boxes for Fruit Loops) or $12.50(5 boxes of Rice Krispes) so I have enough to get the $3cat if it doesn’t work.
Shannon says
Bonnie,
SMART! Ok I am going to try to tonight and report back.
Bonnie from PA says
If you got 5 papers on Sunday you could get 5 Alway’s Infinity and 4 Tampax Pearls. Using 9 $2 off coupons it would cost you $17.91 and you’d get back $20.
If you want to take the risk and go off of shelf price(YMMV) buy 4 Infinity and 4 Tampax. Using 8 $2 off coupons it would cost you $15.92 and you’d get back $20.
You could also do the Olay rebate, if you hadn’t done it before. The cheapest Olay I found is the night of Olay at $5.69 sale price(shelf price $6.69).
Shannon says
good eye Bonnie. I have not had luck with the shelf prices at my Weis. I tried twice and i don’t know if some are like Acme with Knock Down prices.. Then I have no recourse at the customer service desk.
But the Olay is a great idea.. too. Thanks Bonnie.
eunice b says
i think weis is usually based on shelf price for catalinas so this would make all of these even better! :-)
Bonnie in PA says
Hey Shannon, just a few things to look for in store to sweeten these deals.
A blinkie for $.70 off Kellogg Cereals(Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks or Corn Pops 10oz or larger). Try get the specially marked boxes with the $5 worth of coupons in them.
There is also a P&G rebate for $10 Visa Giftcard when you spend $25(look for a small poster sticking off the shelf in the beauty isle).
Shannon says
Bonnie,
Did you find any good deals on the P&G? I couldn’t find anything considering the good P&G at Rite Aid this week.
