I have debated about posting Target price match deals. I know the frustration of packing of the kids, driving to the store and not getting a deal. It sometimes takes alot of work getting all together. I know that it can be upsetting dealing with these cashiers, etc. I am very careful about posting a deal if I can’t verify it. Also, it is a big country out there, some of us are lucky to get a deal and others not so lucky.
With that said, I have decided to post the deals at Target with the price match and coupon. Why? Because Target is saying it is the policy to allow both price match and coupon. Does this mean that every Target will cooperate? NO. But, I am going to post them because I know many of you are trying very hard to have nice holidays for your children on a budget . I know how hard it is in this economy. If a few readers are able to get each deal, that is awesome!
I would HIGHLY suggest you reading this Target corporate to get a copy of their policy for yourself. I know that it is floating around out there on the internet, but if you get it yourself, you can verify it! Also, start saving your ads from other stores for the week. You will need the entire ad. Also, if you don’t have a Toys R Us near you, you will not be able to price match. It must be a local store.
Also, if you see deals for Limited Time or Door Buster ads, such as Toys R Us, the price match policy does not allow for that. So please keep that in mind when you see price match deals on other sites using limited time or door buster sales. Save yourself the trouble, because it is against the policy.
Thanks for understanding and I would love to hear your comments on this subject.

Hi, I tried to print coupons at the Target kiosk yesterday and guess what?? NO COUPONS. they too are gone. I tried to print 2 coupons from the Target web site ans I can only print one today, IS anyone else having this problem. The coupon prints once and disappears. I read the new policy and it said once limit is reached the coupons disappear. Have any of you printed more than one of the same today??? Happy Holidays folks!!!
Mary,
Yes they are no longer available at the Kiosk.
Mary it seems as though some are print limit ONE!
I’m so glad you are posting this! I did feel bad for those who didn’t get the UP deal because of some wording snaffu. I’ve come to realize that shopping at Target is a gamble in general when it comes to coupons. I have 3 stores 15 mins from me. Two are pretty awesome, generally easy to shop at. The other has a fantastic food section (lots and lots of refridgerated stuff) but HORRIBLE management. They will not take a coupon if it beeps, period.
Like you said, they are in business. We do have to remember to be nice about any situations unless the staff is extremely rude. I say that because they will stop doing programs like this (or their coupons) if it becomes a HUGE ordeal for them and other customers. I’m not saying we should just sit there and be treated poorly, but try to keep it all in perspective.
Today I went to an event for Simon Malls (their Mall Club promotion). Mall Club members got a free $10 Mall gift card. There was a long line. All I heard was people complaining. It bothered me because this was totally free! Geesh. They didn’t have to do this and while it does generate business for the malls, the people were being so rude to the 2 girls running the event. I did tell them I felt bad for them because it seemed like a tough crowd.
Just be happy with what we can get! More deals will come! Neither my husband or I have a job right now so I do feel everyones pain. Just have to hang in there and work through it
First and foremost thank you Shannon f0r everything you do… I live outside Detroit so money here is tight beyond belief. I was very upset yesterday that I couldn’t get one of the alphabet pals for my son… its not a toy even at $10 we can afford. I wasn’t rude or anything to the cashier… however I’m assuming she was very frustrated. She made a comment about why does everybody feel they need this deal.. I would like to point out I was going to get two of the alphabet pals. One for my son and one for his best friend (who is in his GSRP preschool program think headstart). Anyhow… I told her blunty (because the way she said it upset me) “I can’t afford to give my kids any type of christmas”. Her response was to sign up with a charity.
My family does not qualify for these charities because my eldest daughter is fully adopted and my 7 year old I adopted… the way the state and charities around us work is even if they are adopted they still want child support… which leads to fights over the kids. My daughters were both taken by the state of Michigan from there Biological Mother for horrible things. The court fees alone without the economy have drained what little we had. This is because of the type of adoptions both girls where. That being said I simply told her we don’t qualify. I know many families who don’t qualify for the Santa Shops… or can’t get the required documents together quickly… people who haven’t been apart of the working poor there entire lives (like myself) find the system charities such as toys for tots uses confusing. I was told last year they wanted to use my brothers income…. he rents our basement, like any renter.. well did till he lost his job now he just lives with us.
However thankfully there are people like you in the world who take the time to help us find good deals. Sure my kids might not have a blow out Christmas… but Herbal Essences, Almay, Mr. Potato Head, and Board Games go along way for my kids this time of year. Plus I feel good being able to figure out how to get it all on my own.
I’m upset Target decided to do this mid day. Rather then allowing the deal to go through and change it effective Monday or something. But alas… thats the way it works.
Don’t forget – walmart price matches too! I did that on black friday last year saving me a trip to staples.
Thanks for making the point that they are a BUSINESS and their goal is obviously to MAKE MONEY! It irks me when people get mad about businesses making money… thats how they pay their employees and that is what drives our economy!!!
Bethany,
Yes, thanks for reminding us about Walmart and to keep that in mind for Black Friday!
OK, so now doorbusters and the like DO NOT count? Thanks for saving me a trip because I was going to try and pick up a few of the LeapFrog toys but won’t bother now. I can’t believe the Target Big Whigs would actually update their policy for this toy?! I guess they foresee a lot of issues coming up with the competing stores and their holiday pricing.
I also want to just say that I am so appreciative for any deals this site is willing to share. Money is very tight for my family and I know the Holidays will not be anywhere near as “plentiful” as in years past. For The Mommas and its’ contributors are really helping me stretch a buck so … thank-you!
Bree,
First, thanks for the nice comments.
Second, what I think they mean by doorbusters is anything that is like from 8am-11am only on a specific day. You can double check, but this what they have at the service desk at the store I went to .
As for the holidays being tight, I think EVERYONE is feeling this crunch. I understand that 99% of the people trying to get the toys for cheap are families who cannot afford to spend thousands of dollars on the holidays.
You realize that they updated the policy yesterday (I assume due to the Leapfrog Alphabet Pal deal). The policy I printed yesterday morning is not the same one that is posted on their website now! I was one of the lucky ones and picked up 6 Alphabet Pals at 3 different Targets in the Lehigh Valley yesterday. 2 will be used for gifts, 3 are going to Toys for Tots or some other worthy charity, and I gave one to the gal who is working 14 hour night shifts (on weekends) to help support her daughter, while she finishes nursing school. I know her money is tight, and when I handed it to her yesterday, I felt really good, and she thanked me a ton! That is what a lot of this deal-matching for me is about; giving back to others. Too bad Target can’t appreciate that, but at least now there is a concrete policy in place about the Doorbusters.
Jaime,
Yes I realize they updated it.
Not to defend Target – but they are a business too.
Target is very generous with their coupons – in fact one of the most generous and they do give millions back to the local communities each year, to schools and charitable organizations, so personally I feel as though the price matching is just an extra bonus!
