I don’t know if anyone will see this now that it’s a few weeks later but I have had SEVERAL bad visits with Target when it comes to adjusting coupons down UNTIL I called their customer service and told them I am tired of being treated like dog dirt (this was after I tried going thru the store mgr who was just as bad as the cashier and cashier mgr). She emailed me a copy of their coupon policy and I now carry it with me EVERY time I go into Target. SHUTS THEM DOWN EVERY TIME! I love it!!! One girl thought she was being slick, trying to take from me and I said sure you can have it, I have plenty more copies where that came from….LMAO!!! If you need copy of policy, it’s on their website. Also, call customer service EVERY time someone is rude, especially mgrs. They want us to spend our money then they better start treating us better. Right?? HTH!!
I’ve had issues with the Target here in Grand Rapids, MI. I went a few days ago and bought the Dove Men+Care Body Wash, a Scotch Fur Fighter Starter Kit and a few other things and I had coupons for everything. The cashier had to analyze everything I was buying and it really annoyed me. She picked up the body was and said “Oh body wash that’s something everyone uses” (no duh) and then she picked up my Scotch Fur Fighter and said “And a little doggy hair remover thingy. What kind of dog do you have”. I was already annoyed and said “I don’t have a dog, I have a horse and they shed and there’s hair all over my car”. Then came the worst part, she asked if I had coupons and I gave her my pile and she rolled her eyes! She scanned everything and my total was $2.12. When I was leaving, she said “Here’s your receipt just in case your free doggy hair thingy doesn’t work out”. I was pretty annoyed and don’t think I’ll be going to that Target again for a while.

There are 4 night cashier at my Meijer who literally know who my kids and myself are. My daughter (14) her friends or boyfriend (cringe still at that) will come with us and our shocked. They joke about how many coupons I have and when I buy something like Sippie Cups last night and don’t have a coupon they are really shocked.
My Targets are funny… my last experience was with the free Nivea body wash. The $2 man. and $1 Target coupon… I had a cashier stand there for 15 min. trying to get them to .99 rather then $1. Then wanted to do the same thing with my Bandaid coupons (wouldn’t let me use several of the coupons I had). The manager came over and looked at what she was doing and was like…are you serious…. your wasting every bodies time (to the cashier). She took over and scanned everything threw. Then turned to the cashier and goes seriously… a penny… a freakin penny…. I haven’t seen that cashier there since.

I was just at Target last Sunday night to use a few coupons that was going to expired and to get the Kraft cheese deal.
I got some trial sizes and other large items.
When I went to pay, OMG… the girl started making a big deal because the coupons was exceeding the price.
Some of the items was $.97 and the coupon was for $1.00. So she called the manager on which call some other members of his staff to show what I was doing and treated me really bad.
They said I couldn’t use some of the coupons (no good reason given, just couldn’t use), and I couldn’t use the Kraft cheese target and manufactore coupons combined.
He adjusted all the $1.00 coupons to $.97 cents (wow, he spent over 15 minutes figuring out the adjustment, holding the line and making bad comments about me using those coupons) Big harassment. The whole staff was looking at me like I was stealing something. So embarrassing. I was blushing and apologized I couple times for his time spent on fixing the coupons, but that wasn’t enough for him.
The worse part is that I live in a small city and that’s the only Target close by, unless I want to drive 35 minutes. I am not looking forward to going back to target any time soon
They probably have my picture in a big board on the back saying BEWARE. LOL. I have not slept well the last two nights thinking about this incident. I will be in PHL on Thursday maybe I should visit the Target that you mention above. LOL

That is TERRIBLE. I must be super lucky, I don’t ever have those issues. I tried yesterday to use my mobile coupons and the manager came over – they didn’t work and we were laughing about how they were supposed to scan cells phones – etc. She gave me the $$ off and told me to have a great day.
How do you get an overage at Target? I stopped using coupons there that will make items completely free or have an overage since it is always such a hassle there.

It is totally a YMMV thing, but she scanned the $3.00 coupon with the rest of my order and it came right off. I did have other items so it didn’t go negative. I used a bunch of free coupons too, no problems. Sorry that you don’t have much luck there.
