I just had to let you know about my cpn disaster Thurs. night (I waited till the snow started??). When I hit checkout, I had everything all in order, thinking this should go pretty quickly. Well the cashier was eyeballing every single one of my cpns. I didn’t panic, since in my mind, I’m good to go. She then calls over a mgr., who takes a small wad of my cpns. to customer service. I’m not kidding when I say 15 mins. later, the mgr. comes back and says they can’t accept almost everyone of my internet cpns. The ink in my printer is new and the cpns. looked great. So, I’m trying to understand this unexpected turn of events. I was told that Shop Rite is getting a large amt. of fraudulent cpns. Cashiers were told they must ck. out every cpn., and if not sure, they need to call a mgr. to verify or get written up. Mine weren’t accepted, because they said they couldn’t be sure they weren’t photocopied!! I calmly tried to learn what to do for the next time, in order to avoid this mess again. I couldn’t get a straight answer from anyone, so I’m not sure what to do. Shop Rite is my favorite store, because the majority of the time, their sales are better than Pathmark, my other favorite. I live in DE, and the one I shop at, is owned by the Kenny Family. They also own another one in Wilmington. I had the cpn. for the free Oreo cookies from facebk., they almost wouldn’t take that. I let them know that one is from the manufacturer, and they reluctantly took that one. I’ve worked retail on and off for the last 35 yrs., so I don’t spaz out as easily as some might. Have you heard anyone else going through issues over internet cpns. Hope you had a great time away and I absolutely love your blog!! Shirley
