Update: I registered for this rewards card today and it says it is not in the system for 72 hours. If I were you, I would not wait until too close to doubles to register. You just never know with Kmart, so better safe than sorry. You get a temporary card to print and one in the mail.
Looks like Kmart isn’t going to make this easy. I just got an update from Kmart. It looks like you are going to have to have a Shop Your Way Rewards card to participate and it will be tied to your card. Maximum of 5 coupons a day. Honestly, I probably won’t participate with 5 coupons because of how far my Kmart is.
The rules for this event are as follows:
-Offer dates: 04/04-04/10
-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 value will be doubled
-In-store Activation MUST BE tied to your Shop Your Way to Rewards card
-Does not include Kmart Store Coupons
-Does not include Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons
-Limit 5 total coupons per customer per day
-First 5 coupons provided by customer will be doubled

You may want to double check with your Kmart locations. I called the Green Bay store and they said they were not participating since it is not in the ad. But, I commented that I saw the information on a blog and she checked further. Then she confirmed the same rules listed above, so they ARE participating.

They are not advertised in the ads, so you can check the participating list on Kmarts website.
Called all 5 K-Marts in the Baltimore area and none are participating. Of course I already signed up for the rewards card and have been coupon printing like crazy to get ready!

I have the card, but not activiate. Looks like I will be stopping by KMart in between classes today. Surprisingly, both the KMarts in Jacksonville,nc are participating. They didnt last time. I’ll be visiting family during this week. It will interesting to see if the stores near my family will let me use the 5 a day.
I just went to Sears today, and got the card. They said there were mailing them out, but instead now they give them out when you sign up, so I got my actual card today. And I signed my husband up too, so I can use 10 coupons a day instead of 5.
Lucky for me there is one by my work AND it is participating (for once)! FYI…if you don’t have your card, you can give them your phone number if the card has already been activated!
I signed up online, but we stopped in last week and I made my hubby get one for himself so he already has his card. Mine hasn’t shown up in my mailbox yet.
The site says any members of a household can have their own card, but they do have to be 18. darn

Shannon, I do have a card. I got it when right after Christmas when they had all their toys clearanced. I figured I might as well get one while things were so cheap and we bought several toys for future gifts. We have a Kmart close by but honestly I do not shop there much unless I know they have a super deal going on. Thanks so much for the update!
I have a card, which I signed up for around Black Friday. Also, Sears has the same deal, so I have to wonder if the Kmart one works at Sears so you don’t have to sign up for both? I’m curious to see whether or not my store sticks to the 5 coupons per day rule as well.
Yes, I have a card. I have $1.85 on it right now, only because it is good at Sears, too.
I also have a card. I’m an VERY infrequent Kmart shopper, and I’ve already earned $.94 off my last purchase. It’s not a lot, but it was a nice surprise!
I have a rewards card – - It was offered to me at check out just a few weeks ago – - luckily my K-mart is close enough I could stop each day – - It will be interesting to see if they stick to the 5 per day limit – - last K-mart doubles, they let me use as many coupons as I wanted – - we’ll see!
