There is a deal at Giant/Martin stores this week on Pillsbury Dinner Rolls, Breadsticks, Crusty French Loaf, Country Italian Bread or Pizza Crust.
Note: I am not 100% sure WHY this deal is working – as of this morning it is and I cannot promise it will continue to work.
When you purchase 12, you’ll get 800 gas points. Some of the Pillsbury Breads have $.55/3 Peelie Coupons you can use. You can check the coupon database for coupons here.
Buy (12) Pillsbury Breads $24.00
Pay $24.00
Get 400 pts for buying 12
Get 400 pts for buying 11
Get $24.00 in free gas when you fill up 30 gals
Free after gas points
*if you don’t use the full gas – be sure to calculate your savings*
Thanks, Robin

Worked for me today in Reading, PA. I bought 4 each of the dinner rolls, pizza crusts, and french loaves @ 2/$4 & used 6 coupons for $1/2.
Mel says
I did this last night. I didn’t have any of the $1 off 2 coupons (regional maybe?) Still a good deal even if you only have the .55 off 3 peelies. Thanks!
Andrea says
I did this last night =) Thanks! Wish I had more Pillsbury coupons…We go through lots of pizza!

Ok, I must be having bad luck this week. First the tp and diaper deal at Weis didn’t work, I tried this one and it didn’t work either. I did get the $.20 off but didn’t get the double dip.
:(

how does the gas deal work? Is there only a certain time when you can use the points for free gas? If I do this more than once, how do I get free gas twice?
Robin says
This round of gas pints ends on 3/17. You will keep earning points through this time. The free gas is based on the 30 gallon limit. If you don’t have the ability to use/store 30 gallons at a time, you will need to adjust your savings to the # of gallons you can get at a time. For example, if you are able to get the full 30, then your savings off of 12 items for this deal would be $12 (400 pts = .40 off a gallon x 30 gallons = $12). If you can only pump 15 gallons at a time then your savings would only be $6 (400 pts = .40 off a gallon x 15 = $6).
Your points keep going through the end of the current gas promotion (3/17). If you earn, for example, 5000 pts, that equals $3 off a gallon. If gas is $3.65 at your pump, you can get up to 30 gallons free at the pump and you will still have the remaining balance of points available for your next fill up (through 3/17).
It’s worth the investment to buy extra gas cans. I have 3 five gallon cans and a 1 and 2 gallon can that I take with me to the pump in order to maximize my savings and get 30 gallons at a time. I fill them up and then put the rest in my car. I’ve only paid for two fill ups since the summer because of the Giant gas deals. This round, the deals have been wonderful and I’m worried about not redeeming all my points before 3/17. lol

I just got back from doing this. It worked like a charm. I’ll go back tomorrow, I think! :)

Are the crescent rolls included in this deal?
Robin says
No, cresent rolls aren’t included in the double dip. I wish!
Ann says
The deal worked for me in Richmond, VA tonight. Unfortunately we can only get 20 gallons per fill-up, so I ended up with 12 cans of bread, and pizza crusts for about $6 total after coupons and the $16 fuel savings. I still think $0.50 each is a deal. Thanks for the tip!
Jen says
I used $1.00/2 coupons from Dec 11 and Jan 29 Smartsource I believe. They’re for the breads, pizza crusts, breadsticks. They’re listed in the database under Pillsbury.
Mel says
What coupons is everyone using? The only ones from my Sunday paper are for $1.00 or .40 off the crescent rolls when you buy pizza crust, loaves, breadticks or rolls so I don’t see any coupons that would work for just the rolls/bread.
Grace says
I don’t have on in front of me now, but the ones I used were good for 2 of any breads (loasf, pizzas) No need to buy crescent rolls. I think they were on the same day as last P&G insert. Hope that helps.
Megan says
Just did this! Earned FREE gas today!!!!!!!! YIIIIPPPPEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laura Reazer says
Works in Cleona PA – spent $18 (6 coupons) and earned .80 in gas points = $24.00 in gas savings
– so money maker for me!!
Thank you so much!

You can use the loaves for a pull apart pizza crust by cutting them in circles. It’s really pretty and everyone gets their own little piece. A big hit with my kids.

Can we freeze these? Not sure I would use 12 before they expire…
Grace says
If you want to freeze them, I would take them out of the cans and freeze in bags (sometimes they explode when frozen).
I just did the deal and can confirm it works in Central PA. :) Paid $18 after coupons and will get back $24 for a 30gallon fill up :)
THANKS!
Angela says
Yes I freeze them in the can all the time :O)
Grace says
Even without the extra points it is a good deal. Buy 12 =$24 – $6 in coupons ($1/2 many with different exp. dates) so $18 and get back $12 for gas. 50cents each without the double dip :)
Grace says
Thanks for your quick reply. I am running out shorty and will try this deal… My Mom makes veggies squares and uses these “crusts”. They are so good. She bakes the crust and spreads veggie dip mixed with cream cheese on top. Then she chops up all kinds of veggies and sprinkles on top. This would be perfect!
Lauren says
I was wondering how we got the second deal since I needed to get a raincheck for 3 of the items I thought I needed for the 11. That explains it!
Grace says
The biscuits are listed as 3/$5 and count for the gas points if you buy 11 and then the rolls/breadsticks/pizza crust is listed 2/$4 and counts for the gas points if you buy 12. I was just wondering if you buy the breads then it will double dip on the points? Probably not the buscuits huh? But does it have to be a specific kind? Thanks so much.
Shannon says
It doesnt work with the grands the opposite way.
Emily says
Anyone know if you can freeze these?
Robin says
I wouldn’t recommend freezing these in the tubes. You can always bake them and then freeze. I’m not sure about the dinner rolls, but the pizza crust and french loaf that I bought have longer exp dates… April/May.
Kim says
I’ve frozen them in tubes before with no problems
Angela says
It says not to freeze them BUT I do it all the time works just fine :O)
Grace says
Which one did you buy for the deal? Biscuits, rolls, breadsticks? Thanks!
Shannon says
Pillsbury Dinner Rolls, Breadsticks, Crusty French Loaf, Country Italian Bread or Pizza Crust. NOT BISCUITS.
