I tried both this deal and the purchase 5 participating items and get $5 off deal, and I got neither instant savings. I was shopping last night at 10:30pm and was exhausted. I thought I did something wrong, so I looked over everything this morning, and I should have at least got $5 off for purchasing 5 MiOs. My total for the Bird’s Eye was not over $15 after coupons, but it was over $15 before coupons. I called Giant customer service this afternoon, and I was told they were having “technical issues” yesterday. They’re looking into it for me.

I had similar issues this week.
I tried this at my Giant and it did not work. The total has to be $15 after all coupons are applied. It even states that (in very small print) on the back page. Bummer.

It does work, but you have to purchase a total of over $15. So it doesn’t have to be all birds eye, for example if you combine two deals and get your total $15 you will get the instant savings. See this thread here – a reader did this deal and she combined several deals and it does work..

I did this twice on monday and it worked for me. I did the kraft deal with one transaction, and got some milk and produce with the second transaction. I bought 4 birds eye voila for 19.96 each. I used (1)1.75 and (3) 3.00 coupons on the first transaction. So I paid .21 for 4 after instant savings. The other I used (2)3.00, 1.75, and 2.00 coupons, so 1.21 for those 4. I did have an issue with the kraft cat. I bought 10 items and only got 5.00 cat, but customer service gave me the other 5.00 in cash.
