What is Recycle Bank?

January 9, 2010

As you know, RecycleBank motivates people to become greener citizens and smarter consumers by rewarding them for recycling at home or taking greener actions. With a robust rewards program, there is an incentive for everyone for doing their part to make the world a bit greener.

Well, first you need to be a member. So, if you’re not yet – sign up STAT! Next, you can start earning points in loads of different ways – from recycling in select communities to saving energy at home and even just by learning about the different ways you can help the environment.

No matter which way you decide to take action and earn points, the gist is basically the same – do something good for the environment and get Recyclebank Points that you can redeem for thousands of goodies.

  • Getting a new sofa? Rather than putting the old one to the curb on trash day, post it on Kashless.org. Need a sofa, check the listings by state, city, mileage radius… and pick one up for free. RecycleBank will reward you for either side, because you saved landfill space. And, there are dozens of categories to share in this free exchange of goods!
  • How does Recyclebank work?
It’s really pretty simple; you select a green action you want to be rewarded for and each time we have confirmation that you’ve done it, either through a points code or by recycling, we’ll award you Recyclebank Points. These points can be used for rewards at local and national retailers and online.
