Giant Double Coupon Policy

Here is the Giant Coupon Policy as of April 2011.  You can check here to see it on the Giant website.

You can see all the current Giant deals here.

Note: Giant PA only doubles ONE like coupon – so if you have two $.50 coupons for the same product, only one will be doubled. Also, Giant PA’s doubling amount varies by store location. You can see the list of doubling policies by store here.

Double Manufacturer’s Coupons Policy:

Customers with a GIANT BONUSCARD will receive double the value of manufacturer’s coupons.  (See specific store for details regarding double coupon policy redemption values.)  The double coupon policy does not apply to customers without a GIANT BONUSCARD, free coupons, manufacturer coupons that state “Do Not Double,” in-store coupons, or other retailers’ in-store coupons.  The total value of the double coupon may not exceed the price of the item.  We reserve the right to limit one (1) double coupon per same coupon per day, per customer.

Internet Coupons Policy:

Customers with a GIANT BONUSCARD may redeem coupons that have been printed from the internet.  We do not accept internet coupons for free products, or those with a value greater than $5.00.  We reserve the right to refuse any internet coupon that appears to be fraudulent.

All coupon redemptions are subject to the discretion of the store manager.

I have a question about bogo and giant food stores, when they have a bogo sale can I use my bogo coupon on that same deal? after all we have to pay tax on the full amount before coupons.

  2. mary killion says:

So what exactly is the giant policy on BOGO

Can I use one or two coupons with the hatfield bacon bogo sale this week…..

    • Shannon says:

Mary, this is a YMMV situation. They do not have a written policy and it will vary by store.

I was really disappointed to learn that the Martin’s aka Giant, do not accept BOGO coupons with their BOGO sales :( Thanks to your super helpful website, I can still get some pretty good deals.

    Thank you,
    Melissa- VA

So does Giant double the coupon or just round it up to .99?? I’m new at coupons but I found some that are .35,.55, and 1.00. would the .35 be .70 or .99? Also I got 4 coupons on the Giant weekly that said it would double any 1.00 coupon,so would that take 2.00 off the product? I’m sorry if its not a good question but being only 14 I’m pretty new at couponing. Thank you!! :)

Speaking of the BOGO!! I was at Giant today and the Shick Xtreme disposable razors are BOGO (one at $5.99). So, I happened to have 2-$3 off 1 razor coupon, so I had remembered looking at the policy and I saw nothing in there about not being able to use 2 coupons for this deal, so I tried it and after looking at my receipt realized only 1-$3 coup came off, but she took both coupons. They then told me that I couldn’t use 2 coupons because I was only paying for one, which of course didn’t make sense at all to me. I told her that I had done it before and had no problem. She kept arguing with me, but the supervisor ended up giving me my $3 back but said that in the future I couldn’t do that. Is this new, or have I just never known this.

This may be a stupid question; I admit I’ve been pretty lax when it comes to familiarizing myself with my local stores’ coupon policies because I’ve never had any problems, but now that I’m beginning to get a little more involved in my couponing I’m trying to get familiar with them all and I didn’t notice anywhere on Giant’s where they mention how many of the same coupon you can use – for example I know at Rite Aid I can use 4 like coupons for 4 of the same items; how many can I use at Giant? I usually get 3 or 4 papers each week but I’ve only ever used 1 coupon for 1 item, never tried to get 2 or 3; would that be possible?

    • Shannon says:

not stupid Beth Ann at all.

At Giant, they will give you double on ONE like coupon, but you can use as many as you want at face value.

  7. Alexis says:

Please email me a copy :) Thank you!

  8. Caroline says:

Shannon, do they let you get one item in a BOGO deal or do you have to buy two? I’ve only got one Grande chips coupon so it’d be better for me to only get one, but not if they don’t allow it!

    • Shannon says:

      Caroline,
sorry I am not following the question.

      • Caroline says:

Do you have to buy two on a BOGO deal or can you get one at 1/2 price? I know at Kroger each item rings up as half price if it’s a BOGO sale. Not sure what Giant/Martin’s does.

Hi, I just stumbled upon your site – but am excited I did! I’ve had a hard time coming across others that shop at this Giant, and not the Giant Eagle. Recently I sent out an e-mail to them to get a really detailed coupon policy and received it not to long ago. If you would like a copy – I can e-mail it over to you?? Just e-mail me at rugbygal24@yahoo.com and let me know. I asked VERY specific questions, so it may help! =)

    • Shannon says:

      Tina,

Sure — that would be very nice of you to send it. shannon@forthemommas.com

    • Carla says:

Hi! I would love it if you could email me the giant/martin’s coupon policy too. I’m planning a trip and am not sure if they will accept some of the coupons based on the sales. For instance the Schick Quattro razors are b1g1 Free, I have b1g1Free Qs. Am not sure if they will take them or not, but going to try anyway. LOL! Thank You!

      Joyce
