Over the past 3 years, Catalina deals at my Weis have been based off the shelf price. Someone on my forum did this deal based on shelf prices and got the cat.
I am going to try it in the morning. My scenario is:
2 Playtex Shelf Price 5.19 each
2 Edge Shave Gel Shelf Price 2.99 each
2 Skintimate Shave Gel Shelf Price 2.79 each
1 Shick Hydro Gel Shelf Price 3.29 each
Total Shelf Price=25.23
Paid prices
2 Playtex 3.99 each minus 2 1.50/2=4.98
2 Edge Shave Gel 2.00 each minus 2 1.00/1=2.00
2 Skintimate Shave Gel 2.00 each minus 2 1.00/1=2.00
1 Shick Hydro Gel 2.29 minus 75/1 (doubled to 1.50)= .79
OOP=9.77, get back $10 OYNO
Please forgive me because I am just getting in to coupons and I am not understanding how you are getting the catalinas above when I am not seeing this as a featured product on the above pull down for Weis Catalinas. Please explain because I have been collecting Coupons since April 10th and I am discarding more coupons then anything because my coupons don’t match to the posts on this website. I live in Milford PA and don’t think my stores should be all that different nor should my coupons.
Sorry I do not understand your question.
Funny..I live near Milford and shop there frequently! =) Don’t understand what you are trying to ask either. But if you want to know how to get a cat, you spend a certain amount of $ on a type of product and the register kicks out a coupon that can be used on your next purchase (a Catilina). These are listed here often. And as far as coupons not matching..don’t only buy the PA paper. I buy a NY or NJ paper. The coupons in the SS and RP always seem a better deal in those states and usually match the deals here or on another site I use! PS. Shannon, you do a wonderful job…Thanks for all your hard work!
Thanks for the kind words Michelle.
Twila,
The shelf price for the Playtex at my store said $4.99, but it actually was $4.69 (your receipt will show the shelf price-the Weis discount). So you would have needed to buy 6.
On my receipt they are priced at $5.59 shelf price. I bought 5 which would have totaled $27.95. I know I’m beating a dead horse, but I’m still so sad over the loss of my coupons!
Hormel bacon bits are 2 for $5 and they have a coupon right on the display for a $1 off each!
Shannon,
Thank you so much for these match-ups (I use both Giant and Weis) and have saved so much money since I found your website!!! This helps us out so much as I resigned from my job 4 years ago to become a stay-at-home mom and money has been tight!
I found another decent deal at Weis last night – Hormel Compleats for Kids were 2/$3 and I used a $1/1 coupon – making it .50.
Brandy,
Thank you for contributing! We all appreciate it!
I’ve done quite a few catalinas in the last year and I think almost all of them have been shelf price. This one caught me by surprise.
Kim B, thanks for the reminder. I saw that coupon but forgot to cut it out.
It’s almost always sale price, but before coupons.
There is a Manufacturer’s coupon for $2 off any full size Neutrogena Suncare or sunless tanning product. Does NOT state ‘Weis stores only’ on it anywhere, so I assume I can use it however I like. A very nice hidden find!
I tried the catalina deal for the Playtex, basing it on shelf price. I had to buy 5, used $4.50 in coupons but didn’t get the catalina. So they tell me that it goes by sale price. I am so bummed. I returned them, but when they gave my money back it was minus the $4.50 I had in coupons. So now I’m out of a deal and don’t have my coupons either. Has anyone else tried it, and was it shelf price or sale price?
When you return an item, and used coupons they are supposed to return the coupons you used. i have done this & they have returned the coupons to me. Next time, ask for a manager. goodluck.
I called corporate, and the girl I spoke with thought this would be the case, but then she spoke to her supervisor, and she said they don’t give them back. To me this seems so wrong, because they are going to turn those in and get reimbursed for a product I did not buy.
