I purchased a baby item just last week and I received an email that my 2-day shipping had been extended and that they would continue to do so for every qualifying $25 purchase.

Even purchasing the prime membership is going to save you on taxes, shipping, gas, etc. you still get free shipping on orders over $25 anyways(might not be 2 day but whatever) I ordered a box of luvs for $33, granted not the $26 I was used to paying, but still $3 cheaper than Sams club and they get delivered to my door. Amazon doesn’t OWE us Mom’s anything, regardless of how much we buy. If that were the case then grocery stores should give us free food, gas stations free gas, etc bc we spend lots of money there too. I’m thankful for the savings I got while it lasted and I’ll continue to shop amazon bc most of the time they are cheaper AND no tax! I saved a couple hundred $$ just in taxes shopping amazon over Christmas. So worth it IMO.

i guess i’m spoiled because i am used to get free food all the time. i don’t get free gas because i’m too lazy to do the tops deals LOL
but i agree with you… amazon is great and even though i will not be shopping there for diapers anymore i buy other stuff all the time

I love Amazon. We got a free year because my husband is in grad school and they offer a year for an “.edu” e-mail address. After our year was up we were planning on paying the $79 for the membership, but the day it expired we got a notice saying they would allow us to renew at only $39. We were so excited. Its always nice to get a break on something your planning on buying anyway. I use them for something almost every week. I have four kids under the age of 4 and if the mail man will bring me what I need in two days so I don’t have to drag my kids through the store I would be willing to pay even more than the 80 bucks for a membership.

Well the bright side for me is that my 6th has just completed his 3rd day of successful potty training :) – he’s been on “the program” for the last 2 weeks :/ Now all we need to do is make our last box of cheapo Luvs diapers last till he can make it through the night without an accident :) ~fingers crossed!~ I do think Amazon is messing up with this whole change though! Lots of customers going to do it the ol fashioned way with coupons and stockpilin ;)

Mine just caught on to the whole potty training thing in the last couple of days, as well. Whew! Perfect timing!

But sorry for those folks still looking for diapers deals. : (

They are not getting another penny from me.

I hate this change! They want You to purchase the prime membership….I canceled my diaper subscription! Now to find another good deal on diapers….

I tried to get in a few more shipments before tomorrow but it said my items weren’t available for extra shipments. Funny my last order was an extra shipment. When I looked at a couple other items for replacement the discount was only 20%. Wish they would leave the 30% discount and just make it free ground shipping in stead of 2 day. Bummer!

They emailed me to tell me since I couldn’t qualify for the free shipping anymore that they were cancelling my Amazon Mom subscription. Not very happy!

I was real upset about this. I plan on calling them. I have spent a boatload in the past year. Hopefully they come to their senses when their profit margins go down.

This is so not cool :(

I thought if you were currently earning the free shipping benefit (spending $25 per month) the discount would continue to be extended. No?
Holly Warren via Facebook says
I don’t believe there is any grandfathering going on. I could be wrong, but that was how I understood it.
Beth Ann Austin via Facebook says
I think all existing subscriptions go up too :( but someone correct me if I’m wrong! I’m canceling the subscriptions I have.
Sharon Catney Donovan via Facebook says
So will my existing subscriptions go up or will they be grandfathered?
Holly Warren via Facebook says
I was bummed about this change. I milked the program for that free 2-day shipping for a long time. :)
