My credit wasn’t showing up so I used the chat option and they cleared it up in less than five minutes. see below

Me:I signed up for a $5 credit through facebook “share & claim” but it isn’t showing up on my account.
Sai:Hello, Mike. Thank you for contacting Amazon. This is Sai. I’m sorry to hear about that. Let me just check on it for you.
I’m sorry you’re not able to avail of the said credit. At this time, the promo has already expired that’s why you’re having an issue here.
However, I checked on your account, and it seems you have had minimal concessions over time, and that you have been such a loyal customer of Amazon.
For that I’m willing to give you the $5 credit as promo on your account as an exception. Sound good?
Me:sounds great! thanks! I’m placing an order as soon as I get the credit.
Sai:Perfect. I’ll go ahead and do that for you. Are you able to wait?
    Me:sure I can wait
    Sai:Thanks! Be right back.
    Thanks for waiting Mike.
I’m done processing your promo, and it’s going to immediately show up on your account.
Me:thanks, it is showing up now, have a nice night
    Sai:You too.

I tried to use my credit last night and it said all of the promotions had been used even though I was awarded the credit and it was before the expiration so it’s a dead deal. Pr SD people at Amazon weren’t even aware of the promo.

I am pretty sure that I signed up for this, but the credit is not showing up in my account. Was I supposed to get an email from Amazon when I signed up telling me that I have the credit? If so, I never got that email.

    Thanks.
