I would love it if you can help me figure out which grocery stores you want to see posted here.
I am in PA and I personally shop at Weis, Redners and Giant. I will go to Acme and Shoprite when they have a great deal, they are a little further than I like to travel.
What stores would you use the matchups for? It is hard for me to gauge what is being used and what is not. I would be happy to get them for you if they made a difference.
Do you like seeing individual great deals posted separately or do you like the big long lists?
Also, you already know I shop Rite Aid. Is CVS something you want to see more of? Walgreens?
I would LOVE it if you could quick leave me a comment to help me as I continue to try and better the blog for everyone!
I appreciate each and everyone of you who visits each day.

Hi, I live in Oklahoma City, OK and we have WalMart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, and Homeland. I would like to see more WalMart because I go there the most, and Homeland because they double coupons.
On another note…do you know a good place to start learning about couponing?
Danae says
I do most of my shopping at ShopRite, and will go to Acme if they have a good deal (like the catalina deal of the century a few weeks ago!). I love to see your write ups for these stores.
I also like Stop n Shop (which is Giant, I think) sometimes. I’m in NJ.
Andrea J. says
I normally shop “Family Owned Markets”. I saw a post you did on them a while ago and that’s what prompted me to subscribe, but I haven’y seen any since then. Also LOVE the Rite Aid, and as hard as I try to resist, I’m becoming a CVS addict!
Laura says
I am in Pa, and do my shopping at Giant and Rite Aid. I use your Giant blog every week to help prepare my grocery list and coupon’s. I like the big long lists of great deals, and the indivual ones! Thanks for all your hard work, and have a great Thanksgiving!
Heidi says
I’m in MD. Most sites do tend to focus more on Target, Walgreens, and CVS. And while I love them, I would like a little variety. I shop at Martin’s, which is a subsidiary of Giant, and others that are close enough for me to make a quick trip include Shoppers Food Warehouse, Safeway, Food Lion, regular Giant, and Weis. Martins doesn’t always do the same deals as Giant, but they’re usually close, so I’d really love to see Giant!
carrie says
I would like to see Fred Meyers, Bartell Drugs and Safeway. Thanks!
Jenelle says
I’m in DE and shop at Acme and Pathmark. This is the only site/newsletter that has done Acme. Plz keep it among the match-ups at least one in awhile.
Missy says
I am also in PA and would love to see Suresave Stores and Foodtown stores (especially since Foodtown does triple coupons on Wednesdays)- I find a lot of other sites already have CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens so Weis and Giant are great to get help from on your site.
Thanks!
Stacey says
I love the Target, Giant and CVS deals. I read every day and you have helped me save a ton of money on household supplies and christmas presents! Thanks
Linda C. says
I vote for Giant, I don’t really know of anyone else who’s doing it. Also Weis. I’m in northeast PA and we have a lot of Shursave stores, do you have those? I’m not sure how far they go geographically. There are SO many people doing CVS, RiteAid, Walgreens, Target matchups but Giant and Weis, not so much.
Anonymous says
I am a local and love when you tell about Giant and Target! Keep up the great work!!
Amanda says
I love seeing the Giant deals, since that’s where I do 90% of my shopping. I’m a gas station store. I also shop Weis, CVS, Rite Aid, Target and Kmart.
Donna says
Hi,
I live on long island and I shop at Waldbaums, Pathmark, and King kullen for groceries. Also Target and Walmart, but they dont’ always stock everything I need/want. I do go to CVS, but have had very little luck with Rite Aid (empty shelves here most of the time) and Walgreens (inconsistent coupon register rewards policy and higher prices. I love your blog and the personal touches you add like photos of things you have bought or of your back yard. thanks for your hard work.
Janey says
GIANT GIANT AND GIANT :-)
DianeScraps says
I do most of my shopping at Acme, but I appreciate HOT alerts for SuperFresh, Weis, Giant, Genuardis. I do shop CVS and Walgreens, but rarely go into Rite Aid (the store is convenient – I just have no luck there)
Mary says
I live in southern New England, so I may be in the minority here, but I shop at Stop and Shop, Shaw’s, and Big Y, depending on what I need and what sales are best. On rare occasions I will go to Walmart, but I don’t really like the store’s practices, so I prefer not to shop there. I also shop at CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aide. Thanks for asking!
Lauren says
I love your site too and I started coming here everyday because you cover Weis, Walgreens, Rite Aid and Target. Those are the big four for my family!
Billie says
super pysched that you post Weis! I started coming here just for that! Very grateful for all of your hard work!
Cyndi says
Shannon, I think this is just such a great blog! You are the only one I’ve found that does Giant Food (Martin’s in MD). But I also love everything else you have. This is such a well rounded blog with lots of great deals and info.
I think the idea of a different color for a hot deal is a great idea.
Keep up the good work! Love it!
Stefanie says
Yay! Thanks for looking for someone who does Wegmans. We have a Wegmans and Tops near us, and I have yet to find someone who does them!!! Thanks for your great site! I love it!
Heather says
I vote for Giant Eagle as well…unfortunately in my area that is the only grocery store that we have…10 miles away we have the Walmart and such but as much as I dislike the place it is what I have closest (GE).
Catherine says
Hello from Hershey! I just added your RSS to my google reader yesterday because I saw you do Giant deals (we have gas-point-giants, but I still would love to continue seeing them). I also shop at Redners on occasion, but also Karns (http://karnsfoods.com/ – not sure if they are in your area). I’m not a huge fan of Weis, but that is mostly because I don’t get their circulars, and their store layout drives me up the wall! I would love to see match-ups for them, though. I also shop at CVS more than I shop at Rite Aid and we don’t have any Walgreens, sadly.
Jennifer says
Hi Shannon! I mainly shop at Acme, so Mindi is my go to girl for that one. I do appreciate the Safeway link up too! Other than that, I only shop CVS and Target. I really only like to see the hot deals for these places. Thanks–you rock!!
Alison says
I live way over in KS and don’t have any of your stores here. I do most of my shopping at Dillons (part of the Kroger chain) and have yet to find a good place for price match ups. Thanks for all you do!
Tanya says
I live in PA. Within a 5-10 minute drive I have at least 5 supermarkets, but the ones I use the most are Acme, Giant, and Pathmark. I do like Shoprite as well. However, the one near me recently changed their doubling coupon policy. I also shop at Rite Aid and CVS. Thanks for all your hard work!
denise says
I love this site! I live in St. Louis so I have never heard of most of the stores that you list. But I read everything you put up on Walmart (even though I hate to shop there), Target, and Walgreens. I think you and Charlene have the best blogs out there eventhough 60% of your content doesn’t apply to me. Keep up the good work!
Tiffany says
It’s a gas store one.
jami says
I’m in Berks county and I use the Weis, CVS and Rite Aid match ups the most. I also go to Boyer’s although I have never found a match up for that store. (I just do my best with what I’ve learned from the master.) I occassionally wander to the other stores depending on how good the deal is. Although I must say, after the stories I’ve heard about Target, I’m scared to go there! :) Thanks again for all that you do. I appreciate it so much! Happy Thanksgiving!
Jamie says
You are the only blog that I have found so far to list Weis deals, so I really appreciate when you list their deals. Weis is really the only grocery store in our town and the town beside us.
Sarah says
I live in PA, and shop at Giant and Weis. I was very excited to find your website!
We don’t have Walgreens or Rite Aid here yet (I wish we did!), so I’m mainly at CVS, and I like Target. I also go into Walmart sometimes, but try to avoid it. It’s a madhouse in there!
Thanks for all you do! It’s very appreciated!!
Angie says
I too live in PA, and shop Giant a lot. I also will stop at Weis and our little local yokel store if there are great deals. We have a Food Lion, but I rarely go. As far as drug stores/pharmacies: I love RiteAid (like the one lady said above, they give real money), but I’ll also stop at CVS occasionally, and on very rare moments have shopped WalGreens. I would rather have a great big huge posting of deals by store, its must easier for me that way. Thanks so much for all you do- I’ve learned a lot about saving money through you! :)
Sherry W. says
I love your site. Thanks for putting it together so we can all save lots of money. I’m in Maryland so I have tons of stores that I shop at.
I basically go to the following stores for the deals – Weis, Super Fresh, Safeway, Giant, Giant Eagle. I will drive to Harris Teeter if they have triples but is a little to far for just regular shopping. I also do Rite Aid, Target, CVS and Walgreens pretty much on a weekly basis. I also will hit the commissary for some of the things that I can’t get cheaper elsewhere. They do not double coupons so you have to watch but their prices on meat, produce and dairy are usually better than the grocery stores.
Thanks again for a great site and Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Sherry
Shannon says
Julia,
Are you a $.99 double store or $.50 double store?
Anonymous says
Shannon,
I used a .75 off coupon that was on the internet about a month or so ago. I don’t remember where exactly, one of the sites must have had a link and I grabbed it quick:)
Shannon says
Thanks! :)
Lindsay M. says
I live in PA also (Norristown), and my usual stores are Giant, Shop Rite, Genuardi’s, Acme, and SuperFresh, in that order. Redner’s and Weis are out of the way for me, so I don’t look at those at all.
I usually do Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens every week.
Even if you don’t do all of the match ups yourself, a link to another blog that has the match ups would be helpful. Then we only need to come to one place to get them all!
Thanks for all of the work you do! We really appreciate it!
Shannon says
Lindsay,
You got it! I haven’t been linking to Genuardis. I will get back to it!
Julia Lombardo says
I also shop at ShopRite, around here (northern NJ) it’s the best grocery store, price wise.
Jenn says
Shannon,
I love your site and appreciate all the deals you post. You have saved me so much money in the past 4 months! I shop at Giant, Acme, and sometimes Weis. I love the idea of using a different color for a GOOD deal. Sometimes I question if it is a good deal or not and since on the newer side to couponing, I don’t have an answer. Which leads me to a question I have for you…. What do you do with your receipts? I have been saving ALL my receipts from all my shopping trips and it is getting to be unmanagable. I wanted to keep tract of costs of certain things. Do you have a good way to do this (instead of receipts or with your receipts)?
As for the other shopping-I go to Target and Walmart a lot. I love to see posted single good deals from these places or just a few REALLY hot deals at one time.
Thanks again for asking us what we like and working hard to help us save money for our families. You should feel very proud of yourself for the work that you do!!!!!
Irene says
I live near Scranton/Wilkes Barre, and use your blog regularly for the Weis deals. I love your site! I think more scenarios would be helpful for the drugstores. I’m not very creative so I need all the help I can get! CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens. I’ll go anywhere for the best deals! fyi…I got the super cheap Coffeemate creamer at Walgreen’s on Sunday (2 bottles for .49!!) Have to go back for more! Thank you for your hard work!
Shannon says
I also think the scenarios are helpful.. Sometimes just knowing what to do is more helpful than a list .. atleast for me!
Tiffany says
I live in Middletown, Pa and I love your blog! I appreciate all the work you put in to it! There’s a Giant right down the road from me so I love your posts on Giant deals!
Shannon says
Tiffany,
Are you a gas store or instant savings Giant?
Twila says
I go to Weis every week, so I definately like those posts, and I’m one that prefers a long list, then I can just copy and paste easily. I’m subscribed to you, so I read your posts every day and if you add something I won’t miss it.
I also shop CVS, but there are alot of other CVS match-ups, so would not miss that one like I would Weis.
Thanks for all your hard work!
Shannon says
Twila,
I don’t know if you noticed i added the print button to the site so that you can print the lists now!
Bethany says
I shop at shop-rite and walmart. their prices just can’t be beat around here – the other stores I could go to are stop and shop and big y. I LOVE your site :)
Shannon says
Bethany,
Lots of Stop and Shop! I will see if I Can find someone to link up to!
Michele Randall says
Definitely Weis since its the grocery store that’s closest to me and the one I shop at the most. Thank you!
Shannon says
Michele,
Weis is probably now become my favorite store. They have great deals and honestly they are very friendly when I go in. Makes a huge difference!
Vicki Ellis says
Love this site! Thank you for all that you do!
I enjoy seeing the long list of deals from different stores. I do like the idea of having “hot deals” in a differnt color to stand out.
Again, thank you for all of your time and energy to help all of us out on a daily basis.
Mrs. Ellis
Shannon says
Mrs. Ellis,
Thank you for reading. :)
Jillian says
I live in New York and shop at Wegmans. I don’t know if you have those near you. I like seeing super hot deals listed on their own so they stand out. Your idea of putting them in a different color would probably be just as good. Thanks for all your hard work!
Shannon says
I am going to work on finding someone who does Wegmans!
Thanks for the input!
Lara says
I’d love to see more from ShopRite – it’s one of the closest stores to me and probably has the lowest regular prices of any store I shop. I use two other blogs to find deals, but they are both in NJ and their stores double up to .99 – mine here in PA only doubles up to .50. Aside from the doubling discrepency, I haven’t always found their information to be completely accurate – not a problem I’ve ever had on your site!! :) Thanks for all your hard work! (Oh, and I also got the cheap kleenex from Acme the other week – thanks to you!)
Shannon says
It is sounding like I need to go back to doing Shop Rite :)
Kristen S says
I’d love to see matchups for Maryland stores – Giant (Stop & Shop is the parent company for the Maryland Giant), Mars & Safeway. Linking to someone else is fine – I just haven’t found a good source for a Maryland Giant.
Thanks!!
Shannon says
Kristen,
Is Maryland Giant same as Virginia?
I will look for that too.
Jennifer says
I love your site! Thank you so much for taking the time to put all the great deals up for us. I really appreciate it! I mainly use the Giant and Target deals. I have several of the other stores near me, but haven’t started using them yet (Weis, Walmart, CVS, Rite-Aid). I agree that a great deal in a hot color would make it easier for some of us less experienced savvy shoppers to spot a deal. Thanks! =)
Shannon says
Jennifer,
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Weis can be a great store to shop at ! They don’t have great deals every single week, but when they do, they are WONDERFUL. You can also get some great meat prices there.
Thanks for reading!
Bonnie N. says
I’m also in PA(Lehigh Valley), so it’s not shocking that I shop at all 3 of the stores you do. We also have a Pathmark but I swear I’m never going back there(but I know I will) since they never have enough stock of the cheap/free items.
I shop at CVS and Walgreen’s but I think Erica from iheartcvs does a great job of listing their deals. I’ll go to RiteAid for a really good deal.
I reason I really love your blog is because you cover Redner’s since I haven’t found anyone else who does. I also love that you list the random great deals(like yesterdays ESPN mag offer, this will be one of my husband’s Christmas gifts) which is why I also check in daily.
I think you’re blog is amazing and I love getting to read your stories it feels like I’m really getting to know you and your family. Thank you for all that you do.
Bonnie
Shannon says
Bonnie,
Thanks for the comments. We are not far from each other! Redners has been improving its sales lately, but they still have a way to get to the level of Weis. Giant I find to be overpriced most of the time, but can get a good deal.
Thanks for reading and I am glad someone reads the stories about my family, well besides my mother!
periwinklecurls says
From California…..just found your site & really like it!
Wish you had WINCO groceries….but also really like WalMart. Safeway’s good too! =)
Shannon says
Winco.. I can work on that.
Thanks for the input.
Kari says
I’m in Southern California and we don’t have any of the grocery stores you shop at either :( I would love to see a Ralphs ad…do you know anyone who does that? Sometimes the Kroger sales are the same but most of the time they are not.
I love the Rite Aid deals you post :)
Karen says
I’m also from PA? Where are they opening a Food Lion in PA? I’m close the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area.
I shop at Price Chopper (BUT only for sale items) since they really do have good sales, but for regular everyday things that I don’t have a coupon for, I prefer Weis.
Thanks for the great site! I’m fairly new, but I love it! Great job!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Karen
Shannon says
Janel,
I don’t regularly, but they do have excellent meat prices, that cannot be beat sometimes — so I stop in when they do.
Erin Perez says
I would love to see WAlgreens and Target. If you can I would also love to see anything from the military commisary. We have one less than a block away that I would love to save more at. I also like when you do the individual deals. It makes me feel like I can accomplish it and its not like I have to clear a big block of my day. Thank you so much for what you do. You save me so much time and soo much money. I am new to this website but I already am addicted to it !! Thank you Erin
Katie says
Hi Shannon,
Yes, the Safeway link is great!
Also, I like the idea of a super hot deal in a different color. That’s a cool.
Thanks, Katie
Janel says
Not really Shannon, they don’t seem to really ever have good enough sales, which is a shame, since they are the closest to me…do you?
Bonnie Stone says
Ugh – I was stuck with a big accounting project last week and wasn’t able to do any shopping! Guess I missed the TP – did ok though today…got the Target brand 6-pack with a target coupon that came in the mail for $1.50 off. I think it was under $2. It’s so hard to compare with all the different sized rolls and even square feet!
Shannon says
I dont even know what the roll sizes mean anymore.. honestly, I think they do it to confuse us.. 12 rolls like 36 rolls.. why can’t it just be 12 rolls like 12 rolls!!
Melodi says
Hi Shannon,
I love your site. It truly helps me make the most of my shopping! I like your lists on Acme, Genuardi’s (which seem to rarely have good deals), Giant, Target and Walmart. I am a Rite Aid shopper. So, that is the most valuable resource to me. Thanks for all your hard work. Truly appreciate it. By the way, I was just at Acme and I got two International Coffee creams for .17 each. with the .75 coupon doubled. I just thought that was pretty good:)
Thanks again,
Melodi
Shannon says
Melodi,
Thanks for the tip.. Which coupon did you use?
Janel says
I love how you do things Shannon-the bottom line price is the best! I live in Lebanon, PA so I love the stores that you cover! Its why I check your blog daily! and the reason you are listed on mine (for who to go to to see the best deals!)
Keep up the great work!
Shannon says
Janel,
Quick question, do you shop Family Owned Markets?
Bonnie Stone says
Giant Eagle!
I love the idea of really hot deals in a different color. Any tips on how to get great deals on TP and tissues? Also, I would love to see a list of what you consider to be “worthy” prices on general everyday items…like you did with meat the one time.
Shannon says
Bonnie,
Ahh Tissues and TP. Yes, they are hard to come by, but available. For example, I got Kleenex for $.15 a box at Acme a few weeks ago during there big catalina.
And $.15 a roll TP at Rite Aid last week — it can be done!
I suggest when you see a sale, STOCK up, because they aren’t available very often.
Katie says
I am in Cali, so we don’t have ANY of the stores that you shop at. I like Safeway the best for promotions.
In regards to drug stores, I’m sick of CVS and Walgreens. I just don’t like getting “play” money because I never know if I’m going to find a deal good enough to go back for. I like Rite Aid much better.
For both the drug stores and grocery stores, it’s helpful to have a list, but if there’s a special promotion or something, I like to see a few different deal scenarios, not just one. I know that’s more work for you, but it’s helpful to me!!
You’re great!!!!!! Thanks for your hard work!
Shannon says
Katie,
Does the link I provide for Safeway help at all?
I like scenarios too, I think it makes it easier to score the deals, sometimes they are hard to come up with on your own. I have the help of all you great readers!
Amy in SC says
I LOVE you site! It really is one of my favorites!! :)
I live in SC, and shop at Publix, Bi-Lo, or Food Lion the most. But I don’t think (??) they are up in PA. So I don’t want you to have to do more work. I also do alot of shopping from CVS and Walgreens as well.
I do like the lists of weekly deals, but if something really stands out, it’s nice to see it separate, or bolded/different color, so that I notice it.
One other thing I like (but don’t see much on any websites) is a comment if you think that it’s NOT a great deal…like on the long lists of weekly deals. I am fairly new to this, and really don’t know sometimes if $1.00 for an item is fantastic or horrible. Especially every day items (toiletries, paper products, etc). I am sure I will get better at recognizing this, but right now, I will see something that looks great, only to realize that it was really a high price b/c of better deals. Does that make sense?
Thank you so much for all you do! You have really helped my family save money, get great deals, and just be more aware of how we are spending our money! :)
Amy in SC
Shannon says
Amy,
If I link up for the Food Lion to another blog, do you click out to it or do you have another source to use. I am just curious as to what makes the most sense. And FOod Lion is opening in about THREE months here! YEAH!
Here is a thought, what if the hot deals were in some other color.
IF the price is really bad, I just don’t list it, even if there is a coupon match for it. Some blogs lists all the coupons – I just dont think that makes sense. Sometimes, companies just pay to put their item in.
Bree says
ShopRite because they are everywhere here in Northern Jersey and Walgreens!
I think lists by store are better simply because it’s more organized; we’ll be able to click on the “ShopRite” post, for example, and see all the great deals for the week. If you find one later in the week, maybe you can just add it in.
PS – Shannon is AWESOME! :o)
Shannon says
Bree
You are just too sweet and thanks all the deals you help find around here!
