My Top 5 Deals of 2009

December 31, 2009

I cannot believe 2009 is coming to an end. Time just flies by or so it seems.

I wanted to share with you my top 5 favorite deals from 2009.

5. Staples Free back to school supplies - I really saved a ton of money by shopping at Staples this year. All the back to school deals stocked up my office and I think I will be in good shape until next year!

4. Snapfish $10.00 Free Credit and Kodak $15.00 Free Credit -These were just both fantastic offers. There were so many great gifts available for Christmas. The Snapfish offer is still good too!

3. $30.00 Moneymaker & a Years worth of Stayfree at Rite Aid – Yes, I know that is alot of Stayfree, but they are all gone now. This $30.00 Moneymaker was just too good to pass up.

2.Acme Catalina Deals - Acme kept my pantry stocked this year for sure.  Acme played a huge role in my money saving efforts this year. Overall, it makes Acme my favorite store. Can you believe the amount of stuff I got for just a few dollars!

1. Kmart Super Doubles is definitely my top. I cannot believe how much money I saved. I literally got hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of product for next to nothing. I hope to see them return in 2010.

So what was your favorite deal of 2009?    What deals are you hoping to see again in 2010?

I was super excited about the Fly Fusion pen for $10. That was an awesome deal! Triple coupons at Shoppers was a great stock piling tool. And what I loved most was the fact that every single great deal just showed up in my in box thanks to a very dedicated and busy Shannon :) Thanks a ton.

    1. Acme buy 30 get 15 back…I was able to stock up on soup, paper towels, cereal and many more items, and a free turkey to boot. I can’t wait for another deal like this one.
    2. Back to school items – from Staples and CVS.
    3. Rite Aid rebates — rite aid is the bomb!!!!

Shannon, thanks for all your hard work finding us deals. .You are the best!!!!

    Hi Shannon,
I’ve been couponing for about 9 months now and I’d have to say the Kmart Super Doubles are the BEST! I wish they’d come back because I’m starting to run out of stuff that I got way back in May/June. Thanks for bringing us all the great deals!

  8. Sheila says:

My favorite this year was at Harris Teeter. I have a new HT in my area and to promote their pharmacy they gave you $20.00 credit on your VIC card for every prescription you had filled. This lasted for 4 months. My husband and I have 10 prescriptions we fill every month. That was a total of $800.00. HT also has a triple coupon week every 6-8 weeks. With coupons and credits I was able to get $1500.00 in savings during those 4 months.

  9. LynB says:

    1. The Progresso soup deal at Acme was my absolute fav.

    2. Safeway’s deal on Nabisco crackers ($1/box when you buy multiples of 5), paired with the Nabisco $10 rebate is my second fav. Mind you, the $1/box is before Qs!

I love Acme too. The cashiers are so coupon friendly and just plain nice.

BTW, I’ve only been couponing for a little over a month, so this Acme deal where they “paid” me to come into their store and take some soup and Chex mix was too much! MuHaHa…MuHaHaHa…

I also loved the FREE Stayfree & MM deal @ Rite Aid….the 99 cent large packs of Infinity @ CVS…the Kmart DOubles! ….all the Facebook Freebies (especially the Herbal Essences & lip gloss), the FREE toddler wipes @ Target ….& of course the Rite Aid Fall & Holiday Gift of Savings …..free Dawn Dishsoap @ CVS…..OOOOOOH..I almost forgot, all the FREE Air Wick i-motions @ Walmart & Target (I have at least 40) lol…. plus, the list goes on….but, those were pretty up there on my list =)

  11. Noelle says:

I loved the Stayfree, too, but you really think it was only a years worth? I think it will last me at least 3 years!
I also loved the Holiday Glade candles deal at Target. I was making around $4 profit each time I did the deal!

  12. Shannon says:

    Noelle,

I shared them with my sister and mom!

  13. Janel says:

Shannon, I loved so many of the deals, but I really appreciate you doing the giant and redners write ups! You’re amazing! thanks for all you do, I hope in 2010 my blog gets as good as yours!

  14. Katie says:

I think my favorite deal happened last night. I went to Safeway at 10:00 for some snacks and I tucked all of my ex. 12/31 coupons in my purse and I ended up getting SO MUCH FOOD for $21.00 after the Nabisco cracker rebate comes in. Seriously, 10 boxes crackers, 3 12pk sodas, two bags tortilla chips, a 40 oz. refill softsoap, box of poptarts, a box of Omega3 and fiber bars, a half gallon of ice cream, a bag of ruffles, a bag of fritos, fritos bean dip and a 40 load box of Gain.

I’ve only been a couponer 6 months, but it has changed our family and I’m so thankful for your site and all of your hard work. It’s saved our family thousands of dollars in just 6 months. You’ve affected our family so much that when I got pregnant and had coupon aversion for 2 months, I was so stocked up that MY HUSBAND could go shopping for the basics. What a blessing!

    Thank you so much!
    Katie
