Today’s featured shopper is Kim. Kim awed me – really she just blew me away with her shop. I want a Harris Teeter too!
$.97 for all of this .. Yes, you read that right NINETY SEVEN CENTS!!
From Kim:
I did the following in 4 trips. Harris Teeter will only let you double 20 coupons per day
My OOP was .97!!!!
I DID, however, use up a $3 RR – HT accepts competitor Qs as long as they aren’t for a specific product. AND I used a $4/20 CVS Q from Recyclebank.
Total Retail Value (Before VIC card and coupons): $242.82
Also missing from the pic are 3 more jars of Prego, a box of crackers, another tub of butter, and some soft scrub.
Also not pictured (I made some for breakfast this morning) are 4 packages of full sized Pillsbury sweet rolls. hehe! (They cost $1 of my $3 RR and gave back a $2 cat)
Ok admit it, you are just as impressed! Way to go Kim.

Wow! Great job Kim!!!! Can’t wait to see if they have the new Harris Teeter open at the beach when we go down this summer!
That’s my sis!! She is awesome! Wish I had a harris teeter too.
What the heck?! They take CVS coupons too? No fair! You are making us very jealous over here!
So wish we had double coupon stores in my town! Way to go, what an inspiration.
That is so awesome! I wish I had a supermarket that took competitor’s coupons! I am jealous!
WTG Kim. Yes I am jealous too! lol
“Harris Teeter will only let you double 20 coupons per day.” LOL! I thought I was lucky that Safeway doubled 4 per day up to 50 cents! Good job!
She is most definately my hero!!
Wow, that’s amazing!
I am jealous!!! I wish we had a store that doubled in New York – no luck here!!!
Wow! That’s fantastic!! All of the featured shoppers are really inspiring me!
Fabulous Job, Kim! I love seeing this!
Wowwwwww! I’m very impressed. I need a store that doubles. I feel lucky if I save 50% on my bill!! Keep up the good work!
WOW that is awesome! We need a store like that here in Tucson
I bow! That is wonderful!
I have been clipping for 3 months now and I’m saving like crazy, but I can’t figure out how you got all of that for .97 ?????
Here is what I do know. You can use one coupon per item. Like bogo’s you use 2 coupons right? Here is my last order colgate tooth paste 2/$5 and I used 2 $1 off coupons on the super double, so I saved $4 and Paid $1 for two tubes. I thought that was super exciting. How are they getting all that stuff for what I paid for two tubes of tooth paste??????
Amanda,
Did you see the list of over 25 things free at Harris Teeter – its totally possible
I would have liked to have seen receipts for this because I shop harris teeter super double also, and theres no way she got all of that for .97 cent. The prego was not a sale item and was over $2 a jar, I have never seen a coupon for prego that was more than .50 or .75 off of two.
Patricia,
There is currently a coupon out for $1.00 off Prego Sauce. The coupon matchups that I sent you to for Harris Teeter had over 25 things totally free. I have shopped super doubles at Kmart before and got $200 worth of stuff for under $2.00, so it is possible. Also, she did use competitor coupons for $$ off her total order. Kim is very savvy and has been leaving comments on this blog and many others for a long time helping out shoppers. I have no reason to believe that she didn’t she didn’t get this for what she says.
Shannon
I understand what shes saying, I shop at HT too and last week prego was $2.49 a jar, and the only coupons I had that were valid were .50 cent off of two. Even with a $1.00 off you would still have had to pay .49 per jar x the 10 jars, and if it were an internet coupon they only take 2 of those per checkout for like items. Like her I would have assumed the rr and the cc for a total of $7 would have been used to cover the tenderloin. They were $9.99 in my store and with a $1 off coupon I paid $7.99 for it. It’s great when we all can buy stuff with little or no money out of pocket, and if I scored such a great deal I would have posted receipts so there would be no question.
Annette,
I understand what you are saying, however, I am not making it a requirement to submit receipts for Featured Shopper. I want everyone to feel welcome to submit their deals and if someone wants to submit a receipt they are more than welcome.
Harris Teeter will only accept 1 coupon on Bogo items
I wasn’t trying to offend anyone but apparently mentioning a receipt is out of bounds here. I’ve been shopping Harris Teeter for years, and they are high on their prices and when they have super double or even triple coupons you seldom get an overage off of a product. As for the competitor coupons, they only accept them from another stores ad or direct mail, no internet competitor coupons are allowed. Just remember this is a blog and other people can post their opinions. If she really got all of that for .97 bravo.
Patricia,
I wasn’t suggesting that you can’t post your opinions. You will see many people have submitted their receipts and I am posting them. However, I would like people to be able to submit their deals without feeling worried that someone will suggest that they are lying too. I pay virtually nothing at the grocery store and many people find it hard to believe too.
Maybe Kim wants to submit her receipt and I would be happy to post it.
