Today’s featured shopper is Christy K. Christy really shows how getting the best deals at each stores and utilizing rebates works to your benefit! It is a little work, but in the end Christy is keeping her money in her pocket.. that is where I like to see it!

Hi Shannon!
First I must say that you have been an inspiration to me – - I have always been very frugal – but now that I have got a handle on how to save big money using coupons while matching up sale items, catalina‘s, gift card deals, register rewards, etc. . . my savings are unreal!!  I credit you and your blog for my success!!  I have become so good at saving money that I have started a stockpile of things to donate – - I mean, how many boxes of cereal or bottles of shampoo do you really need?  Plus there is always a deal to be had!!!  I just got the vocal point Kashi Heart to Heart coups in the mail today (one free box and 3- $1.50 off coups!)  – – and it’s still on sale BOGO at Rite-Aid –guess I should go get more???? after all it would be free, right???  I can always give it away!

I figured that I would send you my trip from today – - I hit several stores – Target, Giant Eagle, then Walgreens.  . . I attached a picture of what I purchased:

My total cash out of pocket for everthing you see here was $15.24.  In return I also received a $5 Target Gift Card (Keebler cookies) and $1 Walgreens Register Rewards (Purex 3in1).  I will also submit for $5 SC Johnson rebate for the glade plug-ins from Target. . . .so in the end, I guess you could say that I spent $4.24???!!! One thing to note- – I used a $5 target gift card (from earlier Tide purchase) at Target, a $4 Catalina Coupon toward Next Trip at Giant Eagle, and a $3 Walgreens Register Rewards to put towards the Purex in the second transaction at WAGs, . . .all of which made these deals even better!

Here’s what I got:

Giant Eagle – $2.14 (used Birdseye coups, kraft $1, Free Hersheys, No-Yolks 0.75, also $4 catalina from previous trip)
6 Birdseye Frozen Vegetables
2 Kraft Cheese

2 Redpack diced tomatoes
5 No-Yolks noodles

Walgreens – $6.76 total and still have $1 Register Rewards from the Purex
6- Kleenex Tissue (first transaction – $5.33 total, plus got $3 register rewards)
2- Purex, 3 in 1 Laundry sheets (second transaction- $1.43 –used 1 BOGO purex and 1-$1 purex, $3 RR from Trans.1)

Total paid $15.24 – - less the $5 target gift card, $1 Register Rewards and will submit for $5 SC Johnson Rebate===Final OOP $4.24!

Wow! This is very impressive. My uPromise had No Yolk eCoupons this month. I’m not familar with Giant Eagle so I don’t know if it would work with Upromise, but there is possibly more savings!
