This movie looks really cute! Three lucky readers are going to win $50 in movie cash to see Mr. Popper’s Penguins!  We have already put this book on our summer reading list and cannot wait until it hits the drive in movies.

In theaters June 17...  The summer movie season’s first live-action family comedy event stars Jim Carrey,whose chilly relationship with his family heats up after he inherits six adorable, lovable and mischievous penguins. Mr. Popper’s Penguins is based on the award winning classic children’s book by Richard and Florence Atwater.

    This has been my son’s favorite book since the end of last year’s 4th grade for him. He read it again this year for 5th grade and chose it for his Persuasive Writing on “Why one should….read Mr. Popper’s Penguins.” I couldn’t believe he was so into a book dated pre-1950’s.     I just like Mr. Poppers Penguins on FB and I like FTM on FB a long time ago.
    I will take 5 children ages 2-15 to see this movie. We read the book a few years ago and can’t wait to see the film. Seeing it in the theater would be a real treat since we usually wait until movies are at redbox or netflix.

I’m taking my daughter and her two best friends on Saturday to see the movie for my daughter’s 7th birthday! I hope we win, because my daughter is my little couponing buddy. I’m teaching her math AND the value of saving a dollar through our couponing trips. All the money we’ve saved through coupons goes in a jar at home, and we’re using that money to see the movie on Saturday!

    My daughter has been begging me to take her to see this movie ever since she saw the very first preview! I have told her that, because of the outrageous price of theater movies nowadays, we should probably wait until it comes to the dollar theater or on DVD.
