This is a great option if you have a “simple” tax situation. However, if you are an independent contractor (ie: I work from home as a 1099 employee) or have complicated investments, etc. the free program will ask you to upgrade to the Deluxe to finish. It’s worth a shot though if you’re not sure about how complicated your taxes are!
Yes Melyssa this is the basic program that doesn’t have anything for those who have the situations you mentioned.
