Here is a new way from the US Post Office to get samples! You can head here to see if you qualify. They are looking for particular demographics, so not everyone will get the samples.

Here is the details of the program:
The “Sample Showcase,” to be distributed nationally on a limited basis , is a box of assorted beauty, health and snack food items from multiple consumer packaged goods companies. The boxes will be branded with the Postal Service logo and include the tagline, “A selection of free product samples.”
Another strategy behind the pilot test is making sure that direct mail is the sampling method of choice. The co-op box concept, which allows candy bars to be marketed with skin lotions, for example, is expected to make direct mail sampling more attractive because it allows multiple manufacturers to share in the marketing and postage costs of the program.

Everybody step back and take a deep breath! It’s just a box of crappy little samples (some hard as a brick biscotti and EXPIRED instant coffee) and some coupons for useless stuff.
Well here I am a year after your post. looking for info on what to expect in my sample box. I was wondering how long it takes to get. was it about 4 weeks?

I do not send the boxes – this blog just tells you about things that are available.

i absolutelly love sample showcase. i also love all of the free samples, that they have given to me.
I received the box but when I go to mysampleshowcase.com to enter my info it says they don’t recognize my address?????!!! What do I do?
I did the address to enter to say that I did recieve the box of samples but it didnt let me in it said it showed I didnt get the box. But I did get one and was very pleased.

i just got the box from sample showcase. i was very happy to see all the different prodcuts. But i would suggest that they dont send any chocolate, because it was melted when i openend the box, (and it looked very good..:(..). I am very excited to try out all the products.

I received my box, even though I never even signed up for this program. Very cool, but when I tried to reply/register on the website it wouldn’t let me “submit”. Not sure if the website is down or what.?! cool mix of stuff though!
The link worked for me, but you had to have a promotion code to get in.
I received my box, with a paper stating “Interested in receiving more?” and went to the site to confirm, but they did not recognize me. help – I want more samples – I love this stuff

This is working again. It didn’t work for me around 12:30pm EST, but it just let me sign up NOW at 4:00pm EST.
FYI, I signed up as a female, kids aged 0-3, with an income of $75,001-$100,000. Good luck!

I did too. Trying to re-submit never worked for me either. And now I hear its all done. Grr.. To qualify & then have it not let me go through. Bummer.

I was accepted! I think this marketing concept is a good one. It saves companies money on shipping and helps the environment by only using one box. I think the USPS may be onto something : )
