Tomorrow, March 20th is free Italian ice day at Rita’s Water Ice starting at noon at participating locations. You can get more information on this tradition here. As always, call in advance to make sure your Rita’s is participating.

After seeing like 200 people standing in line (at 8 PM last night), I decided to forgo the trip to Rita’s. I’ll just have to try it another day!

Jaime I got an email saying they were introducing a Peeps flavor(I live in the norther part of the Lehigh Valley). Remember you can get a small sample before you decide what flavor to order, so you can try it out to make sure it’s good before you order. I personally can’t wait to try the Peeps flavor tomorrow.
I’m just saying that we have a Rita’s 4 blocks from my house, and that is like right down the road from Just Born, maybe we are the only ones getting it due to location?
Ahh, your friend is wrong. It isn’t quite water and it isn’t quite ice. She must not be from the area, we grow up calling it water ice. It always looks so weird to see it called Italian ice in the Philly area.
They are also introducing 2 new sugar-free flavors at the end of April. Grapefruit and citrus green tea. (Grapefruit was the best flavor, I was so sad when they discontinused it.)
Jaime, I thought Rita’s was in Trevose/Feasterville and Just Born is in Bethlehem, much more than a mile.

It looks like they are coming out with a Peeps candy flavor….don’t know if this is a local thing considering the Rita’s and Just Born Candy are less than a mile from each other here, but I might just have to try it!
