I took my daughter to this when it was in St. Louis. Be prepared for very long lines, and people rushing you through the actual train. It is all worth it for the 3D preview of the movie, very cool. You also get a coupon for amtrac when you are leaving. Buy one fare, get one half off, there are restrictions on the dates, but it is a pretty good deal if you are planning a train trip.

I took my kids to the one in Dearborn, MI..well tried the totally free part was a lie here in Michigan…. the major problem there was we found out you had to pay to get into Greenfield Village which is huge history attraction with all kinds of peoples houses and other major buildings attached to the Henry Ford Museum… in other words not cheap at all (over $150 for my family to get in). My cousin went and told us the same thing though the lines where very long and they were very rushed. I do believe though Dearborn was the only stop on the tour that had that kind of a problem. They didn’t realize that the village would still require payment to get in… or so Disney said…

      Dizzy Mommy:
The Train was in a sectioned off portion of Greenfield Village, and entrance to the Disney Train was, in fact, free in Dearborn. When Disney says free, they mean FREE! Shuttles even ran from the parking lot to the train. I’m sorry you didn’t get to enjoy the attraction…it is truly amazing how Disney pulled this off…in nothing less than Disney style.

  3. Thankful Disney Came to Our Town says:

I don’t know what Dizzy mommy’s problem is but the Tour was totally free when it stopped in Oklahoma City and having never been able to afford a trip to Disneyland, I was grateful they came to our town for my kids to see the Tour. It was fabulous and it is unfoitunate there are some that can’t appreciate the time, effort and cost it must have taken Disney to stop at 40 cities nationwide over 6 months to give America a little taste of the magic of Disney! Thanks Disney!
