So happy with my trip yesterday. I am now stocked up on white, red wine and balsamic vinegar. As well as olive oil and bbq sauce. So exciting since I have been out of my vinegars and olive oil and waiting for a deal. I used coupons from the pompien link and really made out.
Tons of the bbq sauce and vinegars were in the aisle of savings section. Don’t forget your local food bank for your extras!:)
Red and white wine pompien vinegars were 10/$10. So buy 7, use( 7) .50 coupons. Pay $3 get .20 off gas.
My Giant will only double the first like coupon per transaction. However you can do multiple transactions just fine. One time I needed to do it in one transaction because there was an instant savings when you bought 7 peanut butters. The manager let me buy the items at the register in one transaction. Then he had me take the receipt to customer service to get my money back for the coupons that needed to be doubled still. Then another time I had the Nesquick coupon that automatically didn’t double for some reason. The manager came over to help (self checkout). I said that I have another coupon for the next transaction and that I was doing two transactions so both could double. He said that wasn’t necessary and that he would double both on one. He did have to use his manager key to do this though. Turns out that they are fine with doubling coupons if you ask because they do not want to lose your business. My advice, JUST ASK! my giant doesn’t do the gas rewards, our deal buy 7 get $3 instant savings so this is what i did last night:
buy 6 chi-chi’s tortilla shells at $1.50 each
buy 1 pompeian vinegar at $1.00 (10 for $10 at my store)
subtotal: $10
use (3) $1/2 chi-chi’s tortillas (don’t remember which circular)
instant savings of $3
total oop was $4.
if only i had checked online before hand, i could have saved another $1 and gotten the vinegar free! guess i’ll have to go back
Giant is running a deal on large bags of Pirate’s Booty snacks for 2.99 a bag. Limited edition bags (silver with “Pirates of the Carrbbean” branding have a .75 peelie making them two bucks. I know that’s still not the price we all usually go for but fans of this stuff know it’s expensive and coupons are hard to come by.
My Giant (Frederick, MD) let’s me double 4 like coupons too! It’s never an issue! They are SO awesome about coupons there! Honestly, I think I’ve doubled more than that there…Weis def. only 4 though!
Yep, Leslie, I shop at the Martins stores in Hagerstown and have never had a problem doubling 4 like coupons. So glad!
My Martins in Eldersburg MD also doubles 4 liek coupons
Deal idea –
Buy 7 save 20c per gallon
Buy (4) Chi-chi’s tortillas @ $1.50 = $6
Buy (3) Chi-chi’s Salsa @ $2.50 = $7
Subtotal – $13
Use (4) $.50/1 Chi-chi’s tortillas from SS 5/15 or 6/12
and (3) $.50/1 Chi-chi’s salsa from SS 5/15 or 6/12
Total – $6 for 7 items
(our Giant doubles up to 4 like coupons).

What Giant do you shop at ? According to corporate, all Giants and Martin only double one like coupon.
The Giant and Martin’s Stores in Hagerstown, MD all double 4 like coupons. I usually use the self-check out…so the system must allow it. I’ll try it this week and take a pic of my receipt. These are not the closest stores to my house, but sometimes it is worth the drive.
Leslie, that is odd that one area in the entire chain does more – but I guess they have a reason for it.

I spent 37.60 and got $1.10/gallon off in gas.
Other heads up – Welch’s grape jelly was on sale for $1.49 (in jar) and $1.69 (in plastic squeeze). Double the $.55 coupon from the 5/1 SS to get it for cheap!

Yeah, I have family in Hagerstown and I get jealous of all the great deals they can get. :)
I’m confused about the Huggies deals…If they are $29.99 and you have a $2/1 coupon, wouldn’t that make it $27.99? What am I missing? :)

Sorry got Cut off, yesterday when I removed coupons, the $19.99 – $2.00 on the other huggies got pushed up in the list.. Thats all.
there was also a $1/1 Kashi coupon for signing up on their website. You can only print it once though.
All the hugies coupons expire today :(
