  I’m in Lancaster and ours has the gas deals (2x points for a whole bunch of items on the back page). I’d really like to see them get rid of them though. I rarely remember to use the gas points since our Giant Gas isn’t really close to where I live and having the gas deals means no instant money off deals most weeks.

      A couple times I was able to work the gas deals to get two free fill ups for that time period. I usually at least get 1 free fill up and some off our other car also. Yes, we love the week we can get free gas. We also have the gas points on the back this week 2x the items listed but that isn’t near as good as when they give you 20 cents off each gallon for buying 7 items, etc.

      Stacy, I’m in Lancaster too and I totally agree! I actually don’t do near the deals I used to because the gas deals just are SO not worth it for me.

        I’m sorry for those that use them but it’s annoying for those of us that don’t. Like you Lydia, I also shop there far less than I used to or would because they have switched to mostly gas deals. Just not worth it.

  I would say you are safe to assume gas deals will (unfortunately for some of us) continue. I called customer service and was told that “most” people want the gas deals. This is great for people who have a Giant gas station nearby, but for those of us who have to drive 20min, it’s kind of pointless. I think the only happy medium would be for them to have gas deals in the stores that have gas stations and instant savings deals in those without. Otherwise like I informed the Giant customer service rep I will be shopping at Wegman’s instead.

    Where is your giant? wish ours did that. Mine only doubles the first like coupon and won’t take printable coupons for free items. I run seperate transactions to double all my coupons. Its a pain but worth it.
