   Expired coupons should never be used at any store. Giant goes through all their coupons after they are retrieved from the registers and they are very wary of couponers at least here in the PA area. We all make mistakes and may use a expired coupon a day or two after it expires but since couponing is becoming harder and harder, we should be more careful. We usually know when a coupon expired or is about to expire, I always discard them because it gives me more room in my coupon box and I know I won’t use it by mistake.

   Can you use 2-$1 coupons on a bogo sale? For example the cooked perfect meatballs. I have 2-$1 coupons. Can I use one on the free item?

     Hi Yolanda,

     There is no official policy for using a coupon on a free item at Giant. Its up the your store. I have used coupons on bogo items at Giant without any issues.

       I shop at Giant on a daily basis using the self checkout and sometimes to make sure that the ie. 3.00 off 7 items works when I’m prompted if I have any coupons, I say no so I can see if the amount that is supposed to come off is indeed coming off. In this case, if you buy something that is buy one, get one free, the second coupon will beep after you go back and scan the coupon because Giant deducts the BOGO free items after you are prompted if you have any coupons. However, if you follow normal procedure at the self checkout, the second coupon for the BOGO free item will not beep. I never use the registers so I’m not sure how it works on the registers manned by an employee. You have to be creative when shopping at Giant between the only like coupon double per transaction and some of their managers and employees nasty attitude, shopping there can be a challenge.

   Freschetta Pizza manufacturer’s $2.00/2 coupon in the Weis flyer that I used @ Giant so that the pizzas were $2.50 each.

   I have a question about the Purex deal/coupon you have listed, the coupon expired 2/2 the ad doesn’t start till 2/3 will giant take expired coupons?

     The coupon scans even if they have expired but Giant doesn’t take expired coupons. Their system can’t usually recognize expired coupons.

       Giant will not get reimbursed from the manaf for the coupon since it was expired. Some coupons r not encoded w/ an expiration date. A lot of stores r having a staff person check coupons for expiration date at self checkout which makes sense.

   yeah the Wholly Guac coupons reset! You can get the single Guac package for 89 cents (regular price) at Giant in the produce section…so FREE with the $1 off 1 coupon posted above. :)

   keep in mind, my Giant has to have the manager to adjust the coupon down to 89 cents since the register beeps when they try to scan this coupon, but the manager does it no problem.
