Rite Aid Deals Week of 1/23/11

Be sure to check HERE for the update on the Nature Made deal.

It is really a slow week at Rite Aid. I am hoping that the new monthly deals will help the drab week.

A couple of reminders:

–  There has been a change of dates in the SCR program. You can see the details here.

– Watch your January Video Values today – they will be gone tomorrow.

– You can see the new Rite Aid Video Values for February here.

– All prior posted monthly deals end today.

– The Resolution Rewards end today – so if you are close – make sure you shop today.

– Winter Reward starts tomorrow – as soon as Rite Aid puts the list online I will link to it.

– The light bulb limit seems to be 6. However, this could change at any time, any hour, any minute!

If I missed a deal, please leave it in the comments.

Hi everyone!! I have a quick question about Rite Aid.. How do the 10% off coupons and such work exactly? When is an ideal time to actually use them? I am new to RA shopping, but am falling hard ;) Just trying to learn the tricks of the trade.

  • Sue

OK, I may have been clueless, but I had no clue you could use your UPR right away. At least my Rite Aid let me. I asked first and the cashier said, yes, as long as it wasn’t some crazy number of transactions! So I bought some light bulbs (6) and m&m’s. Then I was able to get a few more things with the UPR. Might just become addicted to Rite Aid!!

  • Pauline

In my riteaid today the spic and span were reduced to half price, 50 cents. With the $1 off coupon on 2 that makes them free. There were little scrub brushes, micro fiber cloths, plastic gloves and handled scrub brushes, great for dishes hand washing in sink(thats what I got). Free is great.

  • Lisa

I got the light bulbs today and the cashier told me the store policy was a limit of 2! I thought I read somewhere a limit of 6. Is this up to the store’s discretion?

    • Kathy

@Lisa, Some stores do set a limit. Especially after last week’s toilet paper fiasco, where there was no limit printed in the add (just like there isn’t this week for the lightbulbs). They are probably just trying to prevent problems and make sure that there is enough for everyone.

    • Krissy

      @Lisa, I bought 4 and got 4 1.99 ups

  • Krissy

I did the CoQ10 and fish oil deal today. I bought one30 ct coq10 for $12.99 and two 100 ct regular fish oil for $10.49 each and it counted toward the healthy reward buy $50 get $20. I guess maybe it doesn’t have to be the odorless fish oil to qualify. I forgot to give the cashier my $6 CoQ10 coupon!! Ahh I hate when I do that! But the extra $10 UPs on top of the$16 was a nice surprise so I don’t feel as bad.

    • heather

@Krissy, Keep your reciept, you can go back later and give them your recpiet and your coupon and they will give you back cash for the coupon. I did it at my Rite Aid with no problem. Hopefully it will work for you.

    • sharon

@Krissy, krissy just take you store reciept and the coupon and the store will post coupon after sale if you missed a coupon better if you do it today

    • @Krissy,
You can do a post coupon…. just bring your receipt and the coupon to the manager of your RiteAid, and they should give you the money as a post coupon. They actually have a register key called “post coupon”. You could get your $6 back. Try it!!

  • Rebecca

Did anyone find the $5 off 2 coupon for the loreal haircolor in there paper today? I couldn’t find it anywhere.

  • coralie

save your stayfree coupons for next week. they are b1g1 any size. glad i saved mine from my inserts so now i can get the double size packages for free!

  • I look forward to the break but I have over $50 in Up Rewards so it makes me really nervous to sit on all that money. I hope next week is going to be really great. I better get on and finish my January rewards and the break will give me a chance to get February done too :) To bad CVS is bad this week too since I haven’t had time to make it there in a few weeks either!

    • Shannon

oh I think there might be a deal for you this week :)

  • Lori Lovelady

I happened to receive my smartsource one day early in my saturday newspaper and discovered the “Pediasure Try Me Free MIR (up to $13.99 value)”. I have a $3 coupon from here: http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=yavnfqn82883512&bt=xs&o=64000&pt=&lang=&ws=&ct=&ci=&cl=&cp=&eb=1&c=PL&p=96238&z=&r=&pc=&tc=. Then RA SCR Program for January that ends today offers a $3 rebate. If my calculations are correct, you could make $6 if you do this today. Would you say that is correct? The only stipulation on the Rebate form is the Pediasure must be a minimum value of $6.47.

    • Shannon

      @Lori Lovelady,

is it this same rebate http://pediasure.com/pediasure-rebate

this one has to be tomorrow – does the one in the paper specify.

      • Lori Lovelady

@Shannon, you’re right it says starting the 23rd. Bummer. Well I guess you can make $3 instead with the $3 coupon. Is that right?

        • Lori Lovelady

@Lori Lovelady, what does it mean when it says for this rebate, “Rebate offer cannot be combined with any other offer.” Does that mean you couldn’t use a coupon to make money off of it?

  • amritha

i stopped by today to get some dixie,RA tissues etc and on the bottom of my receipt,it says towards winter rewards $15 counted.looks like it started early

    • Angel

@amritha, I had the same thing on my receipt today!

  • I was wondering- If the ad starts on Sunday but the rebates aren’t good until Wednesday, will the UpRewards still print before Wednesday? This Rite Aid shopping is starting to get complicated!!

    • Shannon

      @kathy watson,

two totally different things Single Check Rebates vs Up Rewards

  • Janet

I am new to Rite Aid. I was strictly a Wags girl but there is so much hassle with their rewards program, that I started shopping Rite Aid after I found this great blog site. I want to say thanks and also I need a little help. I just qualified for the
$20 rewards and I’m not sure from the details printed on the receipt how to redeem it.

    • Shannon

Did you actually get the $20 reward on your receipt? If so, you just hand it over and they scan it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of rite aid :)

      • @Shannon,
After I reached my $100 Resolution Reward, my receipt read “You have already received your Resolution Reward”
I did NOT receive it. Called corporate and they were very quick to help and will be mailing it out. But it takes around two weeks to get it :-(

        • Jamie

@Allison M, they told me two weeks also- I got mine in 3 days…

          • @Jamie,
OOOOOHHHHH! Hope so! Could really use it starting Sunday!!!

  • gloria

Today I made one last run to RA before the sale ended this week because I had missed a couple of on sale/had coupons items and my RA had already started the Winter Reward program. I’m already up $15.10 and it doesn’t start until tomorrow!! How great is that?

    • Megan

I had the same thing happen to me. I bought some diapers so I could qualify for my resolution (Jan) rewards and it posted for my winter (Feb) rewards too!

      • @Megan,
I think it is just a continuation of the “Buy and Save” items. I found it weird that the ad starting 1/23 doesn’t even mention the Winter Rewards program.

  • There is also a $.50/2 Starburst or Skittles coupon here: http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=KTC5SAKTZ3MYC

    • Shannon

This coupon prints with an expiration date of today for some!

      • Tiffany T

@Shannon, I printed mine at is expires 2-20-11

      • @Shannon, I guess I was one of the lucky ones…my coupon expires 2/20/11. :)

  • Nancy

I don’t think I’m doing much at Rite Aid this week either. Next week looks great though so maybe a break would be a good thing. The girls at my local Rite Aid will think I’m ill…LOL

  • Christy

On the Nature Made deal…remember, if you have a 20% discount you need to get at least $37.50 to get the UPR (the $30 has to be after discount). I’ve been burned on this before!

    • @Christy,
Thanks for the reminder.I’m going to hopefully do this deal as there are some good q’s out there.I try to make a mental note for the 20% discount, but sometimes I forget too and screw the whole transaction up!

    • Lucy

Thanks so much for that reminder. I would have forgotten to factor in the 20% discount had I not read this.

  • Mel

I just ran into RA to get a card and some goldfish and on the bottom of my receipt I got winter rewards dollars already. Looks like the card and a Reese’s counted towards it. strange, I thought they didn’t start till tomorrow!

  • Melissa B.

I have to go see when my $20 reward expires. Hopefully not until next week hehehe…There is nothing I want or need this week.

  • Ann

Last week my FTM RA list was 5 pages. This week I have three items on half a page. I think a little breather might be good!

    • Shannon

he he Ann… thats funny. I betcha the Rite Aid cashiers think so too!
