If RA has an item on sale for BOGO 50%, can I still use 2 q’s on it? Is that essentially the same thing as using 2 Q’s on the BOGO free sale?

I too found this helpful yesterday on the Covergirl BOGO at Rite Aid. 2 nights ago I used it with one cashier (also a manager I believe) with no problems at all. I went back yesterday with 2 more and the cashier said no. I told him the policy states you can and I have it if he’d like to see it. He said he’d like to see it. After I showed it to him he said “well ok”. I was so glad I had it with me! Thanks so much Shannon!

I’ve never had a problem before using BOGO coupons on a BOGO sale, but I had a cashier call over another employee “just to check” last week when I used the Covergirl and the Starburst BOGO coupons. There were about 10 people lined up behind me by time they finished ringing everything up, but I bought about $50 worth of stuff for $2.

I work at Rite Aid and am glad to have come across these guidlines. Unfortunately, it’s corporates problem for giving us a 5 line summary of our coupon policy and even I am glad to have this to tell everyone at work about. The first time I tried to use the BOGO for Covergirl they wouldn’t let me. Instead of arguing I told them I would be back with the policy the next day. When I went in today I had the same lady, and she told me that after I left last night they went and researched it and I was right. They even posted the policy for the rest of the staff so no one else would have that problem!

I actually had a problem at RA with coupons last week. The store would not let me use a Purex BoGO and and $ 1 off MQ on 2 items. I emailed Rite Aid Corporate and they also said you cant do it. After about 5 emails and a phone call from the manger to me, he finally admitted that I should have been able to use the coupon.

here is one of the emails I received from Customer service. Even he didn’t know the correct policy

…You are right that you can use a manufacture coupon and a Rite Aid coupon together; however, you cannot use two manufacture coupons together per the manufacture. You stated below you have one buy one get one free coupon and one $1 off coupon from the manufacture and you cannot do this. In this instance this would have been only able to three out of the four coupons you had.

The manufacture coupons state one coupon per purchase. Since I was purchasing 2 items I should be allowed to use 2 manufacture coupons.

You were purchasing only one. The other you were receiving free with the coupon you had. The manufacture is paying for that item for you.

I have never had a problem with the BOGO q’s combined with the BOGO store sales,
BUT countless problems when buying 2 regular priced items and using a B1G1 plus a cents off q. Remember the B1G1 febreze q? I had a horrible experience trying to use the B1G1 plus a $1.00 q.

I wish I would have had this yesterday. The 1 cashier let me get 4 covergirl for free, but when I went to another cashier should wouldn’t because she said her manager had told her not to. I explained to her how the whole thing worked (very nicely), but she said she couldn’t. I didn’t want to make a big stink and didn’t have this with me. She was really nice, but it would have been nice to have shown her this. : )

I went to Rite Aid today and had no problems using my BOGO Covergirl coupoun and also my BOGO starburst coupon. RiteAid had some great deals this week given the cashier knows what they are doing.

Yes – I carry it around all the time and had to use it yesterday too! It’s pretty clear..their clerks just don’t know the rules sometimes . Their BOGO policy is really a sweet deal. Using the $5/$20 Qs, I have purchased about $120 of CG’s Simply Ageless Make-up free!

I’m so glad I had this in my bag when I went into Rite Aid yesterday! The cashier wouldn’t accept my BOGO coupon for the BOGO covergirl sale items, but I insisted so she called the manager. He said no – so I pulled out their coupon policy and he said “well, ok.” Just proves we have to be our own advocates because no one else seems to know what the heck is going on!

Thanks so much for this post. I did have a little trouble when trying to use my BOGO Covergirl coupon with Rite Aid’s BOGO Covergirl Promotion. I chose 2 different price items, so when the shift manager went to put in the price of the BOGO coupon, the register wouldn’t let her. She told me at first that I would have to pay full price for one of the items. I told her that I didn’t want to pay full price for that item, and I just wouldn’t get it. SO… at the end of the transaction, she did it over, and took my coupon. I did have to pay $3 which was the price difference for the two items, but I expected that to begin with. OVERALL….. I got $29 worth of Covergirl makeup for $3. Not a bad deal.

Thank-you so much for posting this. I’m sick of cashier’s telling me I’m doing coupon fraud when I use a B1G1 free coupon with a B1G1 free deal at the store. Grrr… I’m printing this off and putting it in my purse so I can pull it out whenever I get that again. THANKS!!!
