Just in case you haven’t logged into your CVS ECB account, you know have the option to send your Quarterly ECB’s directly to your card. When you log in you will see your rewards – simply click send to card.
You can send them directly to your ExtraCare card (click the Send to Card button) or print them.If you send your coupon to your card, simply present your card at Checkout. If you chose to print your coupon, you’ll need the printout as well as your card.
Will you be using the send to card option?

wish you could add the machine coupons to your card….I’m always forgetting to hand over my cvs store coupons from the machine
Paperless would make life easier but only if the computer does not malfunction when using the ECBs. I like SavingStar so hopefully this would be just as easy.
My question was already asked….do you still have to use it all at once or does it now just become one total amount and deductions are made? What about expiration dates?
While in theory it seems like a good idea to put them on my card, I’d be afraid that I would forget to check my account online to see how many I have and when they expire, whereas with a printed copy, I just stick it right in my binder and check that weekly (or more, sometimes I am forgetful).
Hopefully others will let us know how this is working out for them as it progresses.
Thanks for posting Shannon, as always.
Karen,
Since I am not a regular CVS shopper (ala the $.50 ECB) LOL , I am not 100% sure. I hope someone will update us.
I just asked my husband who works at CVS and he said that it still works the same as the paper ECBs so you still have to use the whole thing at once. We had a lot this time so that’s a pain for us. I found out about putting it on the card after he’d already printed ours so we didn’t do it this time. Might try it another time. We’ve been doing that with coupons for a while now.
Steve Cherry – I believe they ask you if you want to use it.
Rachel Rodek Byerly – that is a good question — I am not quite sure!
Thanks so much! I’m going to see how my 8.50 shows up on my card. It’s one less piece of paper I won’t lose!
I earned a whole dollar this quarter and decided to add it to my card. When I went there today, the cashier told me I had the dollar and asked if I wanted to use it. I said yes and it came right off.
How does this work? do they ask me each time I check out if I want to use it today? does it just automatically go on my next purchase? I think I’d rather keep track of my 10-15 slips of paper and manage their redemption myself rather than hope the computer doesn’t use the wrong one…
When you send it to your card, does it then work like a gift card and can use a little at a time, or all or nothing, like a paper ECB. I earned $10.50 this quarter (thanks to all the scripts my husband was on when they were trying to figure out what was wrong with him) and I don’t like trying to figure out how to use an ECB that big…
