Shannon, do you have any advice for buying appliances? My dishwasher has gone “kapoot” today and I’m trying to research.

      Jill,

One of the things I do is price matching plus 10% coupons.

So last year I searched high and low for appliances, and found one that I like on sale at Home Depot. I checked Lowes and they were priced higher. So I took Home Depots ad to Lowes and they matched the price and I got 10% more off.

      If a new one isn’t in the budget, try craigslist.com, freecycle.com, kijiji.com.

Another thing, go to the appliance or home store and check out the floor models. They have some huge discounts sometimes. I once saved 60% just buying the floor model and it had the same warranty.

      Hope this helps!
