Social Buying is all the rage right now. Here is the jist: The company goes out to a retailer and says “hey, I can get you sale for x amount of people, if you can give us a big discount.” The consumer scores because they save big and the retailer just made some guaranteed volume sales. It really is a win-win for everyone. The deals range from food, to entertainment to clothing and everything in between. For example, in Philadelphia today, you can get a tour of the Constitution Center or hot Latin Dance Lessons or Sushi Cooking Lessons. Like the other major social buying group, you don’t have to live in that exact city to get the deal – you just have to be able to use it — whether when you travel or online.
