Rite Aid has launched it’s wellness+ program starting this week. I apologize in advance for the length of this post, but I want to make sure I am clear. If you have any questions after reading this, please leave a comment and I will update. I am still learning about this program and this is the best of my knowledge to date.
Overview of the Program
The main benefits of the program:
- Earn one point for every dollar spent on non-prescription purchases.
- Earn 25 points for every prescription you purchase.
- Get special wellness+ only sales
- Get special wellness+ coupons
- Earn Free Health Screenings
wellness+ card
You will receive a card and key tag when you sign up for the program. You will hand it to the cashier before every transaction.
Your card will look like this:
NOTE: If you are an SCR member, you may automatically get a card in the mail. I received a card with an automatic discount on my card, so you may as well. This is not guaranteed, but keep an eye out.
Rewards Earned
For every 125 points**
a one-time 10% off shopping pass
500 points
10% off all non-prescription regular price purchases every day- see terms below for clarification on when the 10% applies.
500 points
free health screenings
1000 points
20% off all non-prescription regular price purchases every day – see terms below for clarification on when the 20% applies.
wellness+ Coupons and CRT Coupons
There are also coupons online specific to your wellness card. You must login here to see your coupons. When you sign up, you will get a $5.00/$25.00 coupon. At the end of your receipt, you will find usually two coupons. The Wellness CRT’s coupons are ONE PER TRANSACTION. This means you cannot use 5 of the same wellness CRT coupon in a transaction.
Proper Usage of wellness+ coupons
This is my understand of using wellness coupons – as per my personal conversation with Rite Aid Corporate. I will not post any scenarios or allow comments for scenarios that go against Rite Aid’s policy. I believe in getting great deals, but not by cheating.
Can a Video Value coupon + Wellness coupon be used on the same product in the same transaction? NO. Never. Ever.
So if you are using a $1.99 off Healthcare purchase, you cannot use a Crest VV coupon as well.
Clarification and Exceptions: Only ONE Rite Aid coupon and ONE manufacturer coupon may be used on a product. The ONLY exception to this is Rite Aid in ad coupons. You can use a RA in-ad coupon with a wellness coupon and Manufacturer coupon.

do you know if you can use the wellness+ card on the website? I’m checking out and don’t see an option to enter in my card number.
Becky says
Shannon,
Thank you, can you tell me if it states that on the Rite Aid site, I can’t find it to show the one store that I am having problems with?
Becky says
Can you tell me how the up rewards work, the ones that you get to use on any purchase, can you only use one or more than one in one transaction? I have been told both ways from the people at rite aid?
Thanks
Shannon says
@Becky,
You can use more than one.
Marcy says
I received my card yesterday with 10% discount, but am still very excited!
Diana says
Yeah, I got the 20% off reward every day, too! So exciting!

Hi Shannon!
First, thank you for this very informative post! Much appreciated! I just signed up for my wellness+ card and was able to print some coupons wanted to know if can use a $5/$20 VV coupon with a Wellness+ $2.00 off cosmetic purchase coupon? I know that you can’t use a VV with a wellness+ on the same item but wondering about in the same transaction in different applications as per my example above.
Thanks in advance for your help with this!
Melanie says
Rite-Aid is awesome.
They’re rewarding you for rewarding you!
I’m assuming you’ve become such a highly regarded Rite-Aid customer because of all your money maker scenarios!
You rock!
Scan your card at the end of the transaction and after you use the $5/$20 of $5/$25 coupons because otherwise you’ll need to purchase 20% more.
Shannon says
@Melanie,
Yes we just need to remember that 20% does not come off of sale items if the price is below 20% of the regular price.
Janay says
Shannon,
Can you just elaborate why you think your card came with a 20% discount? I don’t understand.
Thanks
Shannon says
@Janay,
Verbatim:
And since you are such a highly regarded Rite Aid customer, we have enrolled you at the highest wellness+ giving you 20% off non-prescription purchases every day when you use your card.
Have no clue ?
