Many people don’t know that they are the only major wholesale club that accept both manufacturers’ coupons from the Sunday newspaper – or print them online and BJ’s own coupons that can be found in-club or on their website at here. What’s more…shoppers can use multiple coupons on their more than 7,000 in-stock items.
Here’s how it works: If buying a three-pack of toothpaste, they can actually use three coupons – one for each individual tube – for additional savings on the grocery bill. Coupons are available for a host of products that the clubs stock, including everything from cosmetics to cleaning supplies to meat and prepared foods.
You can get a free 60 day membership here – I think I am going to do some comparative shopping!

Love BJs for this reason exactly! I’ve even used several diaper coupons (probably not supposed to) and my store also accepts competitor coupons. So, I’ve used Target coupons there as well. More times than not, I coupon there with no problem
Costco is supposedly opening nearby but if they don’t accept mannies, it’s just not worth it to me.
Another perk to BJs is that you can shop there even without a membership card. I don’t think Costco and Sam’s allow this ever. I think they charge a 15% fee, which could totally defeat the purpose. But, if there is a bit ticket item that is still cheaper after losing the 15%, it might be worth it. Am I right, or totally off base on this one? I’m a Costco girl myself.
I’ll be anxious to know what you find Shannon. Last fall I was contacted to do a BJ’s gift card giveaway and got a gift card myself as well. While I liked the store, I felt like I could do better watching sales etc. Maybe I just didn’t know what I was doing. And of course, if you start doing coupon match-ups for BJ’s it might help out!
Just kidding!
Wow…I wish we had a BJ’s! I am a Costco girl too. I have never understood why they don’t allow you to use coupons. Supposedly you get a better deal without the “hassle” of coupons. Most of the time, I can get better deals with coupons elsewhere. I do like Costco for their organic items.
Yup they are awesome! My favorite is their deal on diapers. I buy the large luvs box, size 3, 204 for $30. They usually always have a bj’s coupon for $5 off and then becuase their are 2 packages in the box you can use another 2 manufacture coupons, so i ususally have $1.50 or $2 ones i can use. So i get 204 diapers for about $21 or $22, that’s super cheap. Same thing with their wipes!! I save $26 last time i shopped there, origianl bill was $102, but i only paid $76!!!
WOW! I knew they took coupons, but I didn’t know they took multiple ones for the same item. That makes it totally worth it! I may have to go back soon! Thanks!
I love the stacking and using multiple manufacturer’s on shrink wrapped items. At first they freaked but I always bring the policy with me. They had an example like your’s but recently changed it. It’s the same concept just makes you think first.
Keep an eye on their prices. My store has gone up since Thanksgiving. The All detergent is $1 more than last year.
I shop at BJs and sometimes, you can get really great deals when you combine the BJs Qs with MFR ones. For example, BJs sent out a spring flyer with a BJs Q for $4 off their 30 pack of single candy bars. The pack sells for $14, but I was able to use 4 of the $1/3 Snickers coupons with the BJs one and only spent $6 for 30 candy bars.
I’ve had a BJ’s membership since my son was born almost 4 years ago. Their store-brand formula is comparable to Similac/Enfamil, but WAY cheaper (their diapers are as good as huggies as well) and they often run coupons for it in their BJ’s coupon books. Another plus- I was just there yesterday and not only did they stack BJ’s coupons with mfr. coupons, they’ll accept EXPIRED coupons as well!!! Also- they never give me a problem with the “free” internet coupons (unlike most of my local grocery chains)- got free milk, salad, and eggs there yesterday and didn’t have to buy those items in bulk!
Just wondering if you can use the free 60 day membership to extend a regular membership? anyone tried this?
I shop at BJ’s a lot, and use MFR coupons with BJ’s coupons, but didn’t have a clue you could use more than one MFR coupon if the item has multiple packs!! Whoooo hooooo! Thank you!!!!
The cashiers at my bj’s are great about coupons. I discovered that if you plan on stacking & using multiples then its best just to go to the regular checkout (even though the toddler love scanning at the self-check LOL) because otherwise the cashiers have to keep coming over to force all my coupons through.
I think the best deal I’ve gotten so far was on Tide laundry detergent and the tide stain release tabs. BJ’s had a store coupon for $7 off when you bought both. I asked them if they’d accept the buy tide, get the stain tabs free P&G coupon (it had no max value but it only mentioned sizes smaller than what BJ’s had) and sure enough, they did! I ended up paying $13 for both the 54ct tabs & 200oz tide
I have heard that Costco takes MQ’s. Is this true?
