Toys R Us is offering a $5.00 Gift Card with any $20.00 Hasbro Game Purchase. There is also a rebate on certian game purchases (this is the same rebate I posted about a few weeks ago. Not the rebate that was back around the holidays, but the rebate here. You cannot do it again if you did it then.)

My toys r us wouldn’t let me use any coupons printed off of Hasbro’s site, only the ones in the paper. Also, I only got 1 gc, even though I spent $47 in one transaction AFTER coupons! So you might want to purchase separately.
Hi Shannon- I ran out to try this one since my son’s birthday is coming up in June:-) So I asked an associate if the gift card was before or after coupons and she said after since they ring up the coupons first. So I figured I was not going to get one then..
I ended up buying Memory 4.99 though it priced at 9.99 on receipt( going back tomorrow to find out what happened there)
also bought Operation for 8.99 and Twister for 8.99. I used $4/1 and $5/1 for the games and my total I paid oop was $21.57 and I got a gc back. I am going to send if for a rebate now. Tomorrow going to use the gc to buy Hi Ho Cherry O..

Oh goody I also got a $5/$25 purchase to use. I am buying some games for my kids…although we have those games listed above I can get some to donate and the games they want!

I just did a post about this, they said they were delayed but expected them to come back this week.
the promotional cards always have an expiration date. The date is in the ad with the promotion and printed on the front of the gift card, not hidden on the back. Generally you have 2 months to use it, but just look at the front of the card, the date will be there plain to see. Regular GC never expire, just promotional ones you get for buying a certain item or amount. The whole point is to get you back in the store to shop again sooner, not later!!

Right, because these gift cards are typically funded by the manufacturer – kinda like a coupon.
Just a heads up to anyone getting a gift card with purchase at TRU. As soon as you get it, use it! Or at least check the back for an expiration date. I got a GC at TRU in December on a spend $75, get $10 GC purchase. I didn’t see that it had an expiration date of 12/31/09, so when I tried to use it this week I couldn’t. I was shocked to see that my card was only good for a couple of weeks after I got it! I went online to see if I could contact the corporate office, and what I found were complaints by customers who got GCs, tried to use them and were told they had a zero balance. They got no help from store management or the corporate office. Needless to say, I’m not planning on shopping at TRU anymore. I’d rather give my business to a store with better customer service. JMO, of course.

Oh!! And the gift cards are usually not activated until 6 hours AFTER your purchase, so you won’t be able to use it the same day, unless you go back 6 hours later. Just a heads up!!

The last time I did this, I called the number to check if it was activated, and it was in an hour and I went back even though it said 6 hours. Do you think it might be a possibility again?
I work at TRU and you will get the gift card for what you spend BEFORE coupons. i had also plotted out a very good deal for myself! If you still have the hershey’s $2/3 coupon the bagged candy is on sale for $1.99 so you can get 3 bags for $4, also a pretty good deal.
