My Staples has these pens on sale for $1. I had the WORST time using the coupon. Normally stores just lower the amount of the coupon to the price of the item when this happens to me.. Am I wrong?

I printed these at 8 A.M. today, and went to the back of the coupon pages (there were about 28 pages) and was able to print again.
I just went to Staples and did the following deal…
2) 1.00 Zebra 5ct colored pens
1) 5.00 Zebra 28ct mini mechanical pencils
1) 3.99 Bic mechanical pencils (my store was 3.99 not 4.29 for the free with rebate pencils)
2) .01 Staples notepads
2) .01 Avery insertable dividers
Total: 11.04
Used my 15% off shopping pass, which took off 1.65 and used two $2.00 off Zebra coupons
Paid 5.38 + .33(tax) = 5.71 oop and submitted rebate for pencils which gave me the 4.29 total, so after rebate I will have paid 1.42 !!! If I would have purchased these items when they weren’t on sale, they would have cost me…27.94!
anybody else not seeing this coupon, even when you click on the All You exclusive coupons??
It only let me print out once. I guess one print is the limit on this coupon.
