THANKS for finding this deal!
I use it in my regular drop-biscuit recipe by substituting it for half of the shortening. The flavor is lighter and just a tiny bit coconutty. Note: I hate coconut. Saying that I like this stuff proves that there is something special about it!
Yes, a little bit on a spoon is heavenly, but I think I’m allergic to it because my throat gets scratchy/weird in just a couple minutes after indulging. Oh well. The biscuits don’t bother me.

In addition to cooking with it (or just indulging in a spoonful of it), it can also be used to make excellent homemade deodorant and toothpaste. Here’s a good resource of different uses for it http://www.kitchenstewardship.com/2009/11/03/faqs-on-coconut-oil-and-how-to-use-it/

Coconut oil is a super healthy (only when it’s Extra Virgin, the processed stuff is really bad for you) and can replace butter in any recipe (as far as I know). There are books about how it cures lots of problems and diseases and also helps with weight loss. It is heat resistant, so it doesn’t lose it’s nutrients when heated unlike Extra Virgin Olive which loses all of its benifits when you heat it. Here is an excellent article about different fats… http://www.passionatehomemaking.com/2008/06/the-world-of-oils.html
