I know many of you are up to your eyeballs in Pillsbury Crescent Rolls from all the catalinas that make them free…. So here is a recipe to try .. This recipe is slightly altered from allrecipes.com.

Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh, ground spicy pork sausage or sweet sausage
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium skillet, lightly brown sausage and drain. While sausage is still hot, add cream cheese and stir until cheese is melted and mixture is creamy. Cool completely.
- Separate crescent rolls and arrange into two rectangles. Form log of sausage mixture lengthwise down center of each rectangle. Fold over the long sides of pastry to cover sausage log. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, seam down. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
- Bake 20 minutes until crust is golden. When completely cooled, slice into one and one-half inch slices.

yum that looks delish~
Shannon, did your Weis have them for only $1? I read on another thread that someone’s store was selling them for $1 with a buy 6 get a $4 catalina. Mine were marked at $1.66 and no catalina. Just curious!
I’m trying that tonight!!
It’s part of the 10 for $10 sale(page 4 in my ad). But it’s the little 4 packs. At my store they have them on the dairy end cap, this week.
Thank you Shannon for the recipe, since Weis is paying me to buy them I can’t resist buying more.
I wish the stores in my area did catalina’s and doubled coupons, but none of them do. I still get these for cheap, though, and I use them for a ton of things. My step-kids love the ham and cheese crescents I make with the rolls. I’m going to try this recipe, too. Thanks.
